RE Audio SXXV2-12D4 is beast!!!!

Definitely recommend this sub. I bought this sub with a Hifonics Brutus 1600.1 because I had it paired with a type r but it burned out and this sub replaced it. The sub was definitely worth the $300+. My setup is a 1600.1 Brutus, RE Audio SXXV2-12D4, and a 2.6 cu inches ported box with polyfil. (Of course a cap and epicenter but that's extra.) This stuff is loud!!!! No joke forget your type r or your kicker.. it's all crap.. This my friend, is Los Angeles streets certified!!!!!!

Great Sub

I bought this sub to replace 2 kicker comp 12's so I could have more room in the backseat of my truck and it was a great decision. This sub not only puts out alot of bass but the sound quality is on point as well. I have a kicker 1000.1 pushing it and this sub doesn't even heat it up it can handle alot more power. I had to run an another batter just to keep up with those low pounds. I have had a lot of subs from kenwoods to pheonix gold and this one has out preformed them hands down. I highly recommend it.

This sub pounds!

I have this sub wired to an mrx-110 (1100w @ 2 ohms) but the birthsheet claims 1210w. It's sitting in a 2.59 cu. ft box. Had to cut the hole a little wider to fit this beast in. I'm a huge basshead, and just this one sub did it for me. It hammers. I couldn't even imagine 2 of these.

Never been more impressed

I have never been more impressed with a sub in my life. This thing hammers! Before this sub I had a 15" l7 and this single 12 is a pretty close match! RE Audio for life!

Great subs!

I wired 2 of these subs to a 1ohm final load on a Hifonics BRX2400.1D and these subs will get loud! RE is a great brand of subs and are super durable. I would recommend these to anyone looking for some tough subs that'll add quite a bit of bang for the buck. You can't go wrong!

RE subwoofers continue to impress.

Let me start by saying I never write reviews, with that being said I had to preemptively come to the site and write about my latest subwoofer which is the RE SXXv2 12". My last two previous subs were RE SRpro 15d2, and before that the RE SEX 10d2. I currently have this new subwoofer loaded in a 2 cubic foot vented box tuned to 32hz. Now to the review, this subwoofer is very well built, the basket, the spider, the voice coils, the surround, to the magnet has been built superbly. After receiving the sub I ran it through its paces for a couple hours to warm it up, coming from Hi end Home audio I typically do not have high expectations for subwoofer since they really dont start sounding good until about 20-30 hours(typically) What I heard after a couple hours with this subwoofer was astounding, not only was it visceral, but it also was extremely musical. Most Bass heads look for something that will rattle everything and break their windshield(which they brag about) this Subwoofer is definitely capable of that! I am amazed the egregious amounts of output this woofer can put out, not to mention this sub can go LOW!! Currently I have it under powered using a Power Acoustik Bamf 1600d wired 4ohm @ 760 watts. Bottom line is this: if you are ready to graduate from subs that just make loud booming noise IE: Kicker, Rockford Fosgate, Alpine, Pioneer and many others which I have owned then you need to talk a good look at RE subs. These subs will last a long time and will give you years of quality bass.

I 100% recommend this subwoofer, or two!

Sxx for now on

I got 2 of this bad boys and it's the best subs I ever owned. I had poineers champion 1000 rms, power acoustik mofo 1500 rms each. And after I put these in my car now I'm questioning if power acoustik and poineer was lying about there rms because this subs sound like 6 12's. If you thinking about getting these just go ahead and buy them. Make sure you get ofc 0 gauge wires and sound damping if you want to feel to truth power...

Satisfied Customer

This sub has the best of both worlds, spl & sq! If you like ur subs loud and like hard hitting bass and planning on getting an Alpine type r dont! I blew out 2 pairs of those the spl from these subs murder alpine and the sq is nearly identical. Do yourself a favor nd save ur money and buy these You Will Not Be Dissapointed. Also this sub isnt a true 12, its really a 13 so you will have to modify ur box to fit.

SXX V2 D4 RE Audio.

I used to run my hifonics 1500 amp with a Type R 12", but then I broke that sub. I would always recommend type Rs to my friends because they are quality, good RMS, and relatively cheap. But I decided to go for a little more this time. So far, with my hifonics amp this PUMPS. The base is clear, loud, and produses a good amount of power @1 ohm stability. Great subwoofer, a little pricey, but you get what you pay for my dude!

not what I expected

For the price I understand. But to put false specs is not good. I wouldn't rate this sub over 750rms. First one I had dust cap came lose in a week . Now this one , I have 1000 rms to it on and alpine pdx 1000.1. And the amp is too much for it . Yes I know what I'm doing volume on the deck and gains on the amps all set by avolt meeter. I have 4 volt preamp out put on my deck . VVolume go's up to 50 clips at 45 . Gains on amp set at 3.8 volts at 42 volume on the deck. For bolth of my amps. Depending on what I play I can hear the sub flutter. Sometimes bottomout and I could smell the coil once . Box is tuned to the sub . All my wire isplenty thick enenough. The sub says it can take 1200rms . If I put 1200 to it it would smoke in a day. My bostom spg 555 was 1000rms and slammed so much harder . They don't make that anymore. But I wouldn't buy this brand again. Its just a temporary sub for me. (Sundown audio) (fi audio) (dd) audio.(dc audio) oriom hcca those are the real beasts. Next sub is sundown zv4
