Good for the price, but obviously not the best

Definitely worth it for the price, I got them with a kit though, but for the cost I would recommend this as a starter or weaker kit. The power wires aren't 4 gauge at all but they're enough to power maybe like 500 or 600 watt amps and sound fine. They're a bit not flexible but they all still bend and get what you need done. For a higher powered system I would recommend Stinger or Kicker but these work fine, just at lower volumes. They are shielded so don't let other reviews turn you away, I had to attack them with knives to cut some of them and the RCAs got pretty badly sliced by my car but are still under whatever material you want to call that.

Good buy for the price.

great for a low end kicker or rockford set up,

Good for your everyday bass enthusiast, the kicker and rockford people, not for big bass applications.

Gets it done!

Literally DOES have everything you need. The ground cable is very short, however that is my only problem with the kit.

I do not recommend this amp kit

I am currently running a Kenwood KAC-9105D with this amp kit and it does work but I wish that I would have bought a better kit from stinger. The wires are kinda cheap and appear to be aluminium coated with copper. This kit would be fine for 500 watt amps or less in my opinion

Great Kit

This is a great wiring kit. For the price, it simply can't be beat. I highly recommend it to everyone, not just those who are on a tight budget. I mean, do we really need name-brand wires? These do the job perfectly fine! I've been using mine for over 2 years now and I have no complaints.

You get a great deal

I know to expect no more than you pay for, and I got a little more on this one. My complaints are that the power and ground are more like 6ga than 4. Other than that, everything everyone else said. I'd buy again.

Not the worst, but not the best either

Bought this kit for wiring up my two Rockford Fosgates and Kenwood monoblock amp. Entire kit was okay for the most part, but after finally seeing it all up close, I immediately wish I had spent the extra money for a better kit. The power and ground cables aren't true 4-gauge wire. The "copper coated aluminum" just does not cut it for me. The strands fell apart when trying to crimp a connector to the end, twisting them together, or inserting them into the amp terminal for power. Might be good for a starter kit, but definitely not for those who have been in the car audio game for a good while.

First Time

This was a great value and I like the color of the power cable.Just like the light on the Kenwood amp.

Ehhh It works...

If your gonna sell a kit product make sure everything fits together properly. The power wire doesn't fit very well in the fuse cap and the cap misthreads constanly. I prefer the block type fuses but it was a cheap kit and it does what is supposed to do overall. Metal quality is good, the insulation is excellent, but the terminals and fuse container suck. Didn't use any of the terminals, had to custom make terminals but not the fault of the kit, this vehicle had some wonky connections.

Terrible, Cheap Wires

I bought these wires as a package deal with a Kicker ZX400 amp and these wires are absolute garbage. They fall apart whenever trying to the twist the wires and its not true 4 gauge wire. They get the job done but will never buy this product again. Updating wires today.

Decent enough

This is a nice wiring kit. The wire is not true 4 gauge it's more like 6 but it's good enough to push about 600 or 700 watts RMS or just to hook up a 4 channel amp. The RCA's feel kinda cheap but there realiable and get the job done. Overall it is a good amp kit if your not building a crazy system I'd say 600 rms or less. I'd most likely buy this again but if you want a really nice true 4 gauge kit I'd buy Kicker or Tsunami or Stinger.

Pretty Good Kit

I got this kit along with my Rockford R500-1 amp, and I also bought a second kit to supplement this one, but I ended up using this kits power and ground cables. They are of good build, while they probably aren't true 4 gauge, they do the job fine. The RCA's are not good quality, they were already corroding slightly when i took them out of the packaging! Other than that, this kit isn't bad.

Good kit

This kit works great for my 800 watt RMS system. The only complaint I have is the ground wire is very short so it limits connection options but nonetheless I was able to connect it. I did have enough positive wire left over to cut it off and have more than the ground but I did not want to cut any of the wire. The RCA wires were easy to connect and all of the other wires were easy as well. I would recommend buying a larger fuse. I do not remember but it comes with but I got a larger one from my friend that was 3 times the size because his blew very easily.

Do not buy this

The wires are mostly filler if you want thicker wiring spend a little more if you can. Do not skimp out on the wiring because your amp will pay the price and then you will REALLY need to spend alot of money.

Very good value, but wires are a little thin

This is a very good kit for the price. The RCAs are stranded, the wire sheaths are flexible, Quality is good, but the power and ground wires are a little thin. When I contacted customer service I was told that no mistake was made, "you get $29 worth of copper wire, if you want thicker wires, you need to spend $50." Keep that in mind with your install.

Good for the price.

I bought this kit to wire the Kenwood KAC-8105D amp. The main reason i went with this one was because of the cheap price, the cheap price shows somewhat in the quality of the wire, but it did the job just fine, i've had it for about 6 months now and have had no issues.

By Tim on December 4, 2012

It's alright.

The coating on the power was very flimsy and the tubing they sent didn't help. So I reinforced it with a lot of electrical tape, and it helped and the fuse they send you isn't good at all you will probably blow it in a few days, but other than that it's great.

You get what you paid for

This is a very good product for the price, it works perfectly fine although i ended up changing the fuse holder because water kept getting into it. And the power cable was barely long enough. I used it in a Ford Sport Track.

Kinda on the cheap side but works

It's a cheaper brand, but it got the job done and hasn't failed on me yet. The fuse worked perfectly and blew out, so it saved my sub and amp but the speaker wire is way too thin.

Everything needed in a little bag of wires.

This wiring kit is simply perfect, it has every single piece needed without having to go to the local shop for that one extra connector.

By Wayne on March 7, 2012

not worth it

This feels like somewhere between 8-10 gauge wire. Not even real copper. This stuff sucks. I mean it'll work well for anything under 300watts rms at the max.

not good

The cables worked fine for about 4 or 5 months then the connection went bad somewhere. Now the subs I have hooked up thump once in a while and stop working for short periods.

It'll Do for entry level

Well, I shoulda read more of the reviews...The power cable is definately not 4 AWG. Maybe in some other country, might pass for a 6 gauge or so here in the USA. Very fine strands of copper wire. Ever heard the old addage "ya get what ya pay for" never more true. The RCA cables are twisted, but no shielded. This will work for a starter setup with lower wattages.

By James on July 17, 2011

Alright wiring kit

Did its job. Everything went together nice other than the ring lugs are a little to big for the 4 gauge wire provided. I have dealt with 2 of these kits now, and although its a pretty decent kit there are better out there.

By Chris on May 10, 2011

Dont do it fella!

This item is garbage. The RCA cables are very poorly shielded if shielded at all. They were installed correctly away from any power cables completely on their own but produced irritating noticeable feedback. The gauge is thin and the barrel connecters are so thin it feels like they are made of aluminum foil. The amp power cables are of decent quality and i would recommend them. The fuse holder for the main power wire coming off your battery is a bit flimsy. The rubber gaskets broke down and wore out quickly and the screws to hold the wire in place fell out from vibrations.

Perfect.

I used this wiring kit for a 500 watt system and have had absolutely no issues for the past year I have had it in. Anyone with a similar wattage system should buy this! It's a much better deal than the crap at your local wal-mart.

Raptor

metra makes great parts for amps and installs the wiring is a little thin but for a low wattage amp its more then perfect so if your using this wiring for a smaller wattage amp this is a good kit to get
