Great Marine Speaker!!

I have these in my UTV and also a pair on my jet ski. They take tons of water and abuse and still play strong. The highs are nice and bright and project lots of volume. The bass is pretty good, mine are in sealed enclosures. Bass is as good as you can expect from a speaker of this size. Best feature is the suspended tweeter design allowing for a totally sealed woofer. Have never liked the idea of a coax speaker with post mounted tweeter for a true marine speaker. They also have a solid construction design I side and out. Hope you like yours as much as I like mine.

Marine Speaker

Nice upgrade from my stock system. Matched with an Alpine PDX 5 these speakers are crisp and sound excellent.

Stylish Yet Subpar

First off let me say I was impresses by both the customer service and expedited shipping I received from Sonic Electronix. The speakers are truly quality built and marine grade. The styling is wonderful with true stainless grills and glossy black baskets. Now for the bad. Having installed other products from other major brands the performance of these is lacking. The highs are muddy and the bass is like something from a 1980's boom-box. I currently have Alpines in the front and these in the back. The Alpines murder the Rockfords. Both are hooked up to the same Kenwood 700 series marine receiver. I am hoping that once I purchase a separate amplifier the Rockfords will pick up the pace. I doubt that the highs will ever rival some of my other top picks from my 12 years installing mobile audio, but from things I have read there is still hope for the bass. I would recommend these based on looks and durability, but these are not audiophile speakers by any means.

Perfect for the bike

I installed the M262 speakers, along with the RF PBR 300X4 amp, in the Dead Center fairing on my '02 Harley Road King. Installation was simple and so far, they are what I expected - loud and clear. Hopefully the durability will be the same (I've only had them for a couple weeks which is why I graded Overall and Durability at 4 stars). Sonic Electronix is the place to buy from. Their prices were the best, the purchasing process was easy and their technical support was very helpful. Ride safe !!

Awsome Speaker

these are beautiful, and great sounding speakers. only have to in my cruiser and wife tells me turn it down all the time. great sound lows mids and highs. can take on heat sun water and still sound great and haven't faded or oxidized. price a little high same quality from cheaper speakers but not the style or design.
