Great sound but horrible build

The sound you get from these earbuds is great, but the build of them is absolutely horrible. The cover to the wire that leads in to the earbud comes loose after a couple of days which leaves the wires exposed. You can glue the cover back on but you have to be careful not to get glue on the wires. It seems all of them have the same problem because I have had two, both of which lost the cap on the earbud. Rockford has to fix that problem it's really annoying. Rockford makes such great earbuds but they always fall apart.

The best head phones I own!!!!

I have some Bose over the ear head phones and some Kicker over the head phones and not to mention all the other cheap ones. BUY these!!! Let me explain why. These ear buds have so much bass its not even funny, it freaks all my friends out. But they are still crystal clear. I have Everything on my ZUNE and it all sounds amazing with these. The 100 or more dollar Bose over the ear with a way bigger driver dont sound nothing like these, And the the kickers are better than the Bose but still not close to these. Bose is more mellow i guess and kickers a little harsher and these are just right. (((NOTE))) These ear buds need a long break in period dont just put them in and say these suck cause thats what i did, wait a week or a few days and let them break in and then they will sound AMAZING!!!!! also if you use the wrong ear piece and they dont seal in your ear there will be no sound pressure and they will have NO base and will sound like crap, make sure there in your ear tight so it can seal and create the sound pressure. Thats whats makes the bass in these ear buds. They also cancel out noise very well because of the seal they make in your ear canal, I carry these with me every were i go and Im having to buy another pair because my sister pretty much stole mine when she heard them. Buy these you'll be glade you did.

These R Awesome!

These ear buds are awesome! They sound and look a thousand times better than my older ear buds. I used to have some $40 Sony ear buds and they were better than the standard iPod ones of course. I like these first because they are stylish and the black casing matches my iPod. The blaring white headphones that iPods come with are way too visible for my taste.

Ok well anyway, lets get to sound quality. These things have punch and bass! They stay true to the Fosgate name and I love listening to them with all kinds of music. The mids and highs arnt bad either, better than my Sony headphones by far. I did not use all the eartips I was content with the stock eartips so I have nothing to say on those really.

The cable is unique, it is flat which I like way better than rounded cables. The flat cable is great because I run it under my shirt at the gym and it is more comfortable than the circular cables.

They cancel out the noise well because of the angel I can really get them snug in my ear. This is great at the gym when I want to concentrate on my workout and not the clanging of weights from all the other people. LA Fitness is often crowded :P

Overall I am very happy with the price and the purchase from Sonic Electronix! These ear buds are awesome and so far my friends are impressed as well!

Rockford Fosgate Punch plugs

the concept was nice but they fit horribly and kept falling out. I tried all the tips provided but they still fell out of my ears even when barley moving around. I go to the gym a lot and couldn't even where them because they kept falling out. the sound quality was okay. The bass was descent not really that hard of bass. These headphones are just loud not "Bassy" like they mention.

Awesome

These headphones are awesome. I've been using cheap apple earbuds for over a year now and they kept breaking. I figured I would put out the extra cash and go for a pair of "real" earbuds. The Punch Plugs are by far the cleanest sounding earbuds I've ever heard. I hear things in songs that I've never heard before on a pair of $100 headphones I use for my computer.

The bass in these are amazing. I personally am a huge basshead, so I have my bass turned almost full on these. If you have an iPod touch 3rd generation or newer, I recommend getting the app "EQu". It only costs a couple bucks and it is a life saver. It's a replacement for your normal music app, and includes a graphic equalizer and a realtime display for a music spectrum.

When you get these, listen to them for a few minutes to get used to the sound of them. Then, play either a playlist of different types of music, or some pink noise overnight. Once broken in, the bass gets much deeper, and the highs become much more clean.

More Bass Less Weakness

I've got some old fosgate subs in my car that i love. i was stoked to see that they put out a headphone line cause i figured they had to know how to make BASS! i was right. I'm sick of the little weaklings trying to make some headphones. Go Fosgate! I would love to see JL get into this game

Boomin Rockford Fostgate PUNCH PLUGS

I would recommend these earbuds to anyone who listens to rap, hip/hop, dance or jazz music. The bass is unexplainable. There is 1 catch.....These earbuds need a 12hr burn in period. Yes 12 hrs! Take them and plug them into your MP3 player and put on 3/4 volume and set it on some hip hop continuous play (unless you have 12hrs of different rap tunes!) and walk away and let the magic happen! Come back or wake up, whichever you choose and pick them up and start to enjoy sounds like never before!
