Good Sub!

Awesome second best sub(as far as the RF line goes). Seems to handle more more RMS power than it is rated at. Sounds really good and clean. Hits all the lows very well. Shakes the entire car with the right enclosure. Very impressed, would like to get a hold of a T2 after hearing this one. Kind of pricy though.

Good sub

My buddy has one of these hooked up in his Cherokee and it sounds really good hits lows really good but I personally like 12's...my type x destroys his system...its a pricey sub..i would save a little more a buy the t2's if anything or the orion hcaa's those are intense...i think the type r 15 slams better than this sub and its cheaper..but i always like rockford products because they are durable..ive blown type r's and type s's before...but my p3 always stood up...the t1 is a good sub..

awesome sub.. clean and loud

All the stores around here had this sub selling for 350-400 dollars. 270 dollars shipped on here, best deal i could find by far.

right now i got it hooked up to a 1000 watt Sony amp that i had sitting around. Its so clean! i was real impressed with how clean it sounds. the amp is crappy and under powering it, but i can imagine how good and loud it will sound when i get a better amp, cause it sounds pretty good with this one. looks pretty bad a** too.

only negative thing i could say about it is how easy it is to dent the aluminum cone. i have a tiny dent in mine already from who knows what, and no idea how it got there.

Finally committed to a sub!

After many sizes, shapes, wattages, and brands of subs, I finally found a subwoofer that I can commit to. I have one in a 4 cubic ft, L ported Bass Rocker box. And wow does this slam. I was running it with an Alpine MRP-M500 and it's loud. Do not over power his sub, and give it room to breathe. I am picking up another one and will run 2 of them in a custom 8 cubic ft chambered and l ported box with a HiFonics 1000 watt 2 channel amp. I have this setup in a 2002 Mitsubishi Lancer OZ Rally.

Decent...could find better.

I've been installing/researching car audio for 15 years and Rockford has been a big part of my experiences. I had alot of expectations for this sub as was only semi-impressed. I've had two inverted in my SUV with a RF T-2000bd for power. Pretty sweet. But I wanted to be louder, of course, since I was a spl competitor. So I went to four in a ported box right behind the front seats in my SUV. Power was coming from two T-2000bd's this time. Let me tell you what...After fixing the shoddy and incorrect wiring job of one of my so called "friends", they didn't sound too bad. Was actually at times fairly loud. But NOT for the price you pay. NOT for the amount of wattage I had. Why, you ask? ENCLOSURE DESIGN. I would name names as to who built not one, but...three? four? HORRENDOUS boxes for me. They would probably have done much better with a different enclosure. However, as far as price vs. performance goes, they are blowing smoke up your ***. I've built louder systems with subs that cost less than half as much as the T1s or T2s. The key? Enclosure design. Research. Resonant frequency of your vehicle. Little bit of science...not grab the biggest most expensive thing you can find and put excessive amounts of power to it. I will admit, one of my ex-friends is doing well with a single T2 at comps right now. And it sounds decent. But I'm afraid of hinting to him that there are guys in other states running a single 10", let alone a 15" putting up BETTER numbers than him. Do your research and don't buy whats "FED" to you by monstrous car audio companies.

You guys at Sonic have some great prices. I'll prob be making a purchase in the near future.

Sorry for the long review but when I see a chance to express the truth I do it.

The Package

This sub hit really hard its the little brother of the t2 buut not small in sound. U put this sub on at least 800 watts(100-600) and it will hit. I had one in a 190e benz hooked up to a pioneer face and a fosgate amp. Great deal on this site.
