smart buy

I installed this on a vw jetta mk4. Beyond needing spacers the install wasn't that hard. it is being pushed by a RF R400-4D amp which slightly over powers it. It puts out clear highs and lows from min to max with very little distortion.

Needs Power!

These speakers are in a nother dimension. Clear sound at full volume, extremely loud and draws lots of power. At first I did not power these speakes with an amp. I had It powering by my kewood headunit. yes they'r munch better then stock an alpine type S & R. witch i have in the back door of my jeep. so i just assumed thats how loud they get. powerd by my headunit. powering the speakers throw the headunit you had to lower the bass throw your settings of the headunit witch made my subs not have a lot of force. so later in the year i wanted to grow my system, 6x9 rockford power in the back and bigger subs, and added a 2nd battery. so i was like i need an 4ch aamp to power my 6 speakers. so I whent with the RE 800.4 amp. witch is a wonderful amp. afer i installed the RE amp and gave it a test run i was so impressed by change in performance throw the Rockfords 6.5 speakers. they can go even louder and louder with clear vocals. i bust down in man tears lol. best purchased i made right behide purchasing my car. lol. Buy them form sonic dont do what i did and go to a local audio store. these speakers will cost u well over 200$. and if you not looking to power the 6.5 rockford Power speakers just go with Punch or Prime series, you will still get that clear/loud sound but with out digging too deep in your pockets. love sonic best onine car audio store in the USA.

My 2013 Ford Escape has quality sound

Thanks to these speakers I enjoy music again. They are not strong bass speakers but do produce good quality mids and highs with moderate bass. Overall for the price I recommend these as a good quality factory speaker upgrade where size is limited. The only negative I found was that the provided screws are a little small for the mounting lugs and will pull through the speaker surround if you are not careful.

Good Speakers

They sound good but the bass is a little bouncy and either due to only being 2-way the treble is a little less clear then i expected out of the "power" series. I wouldn't recommend getting these based off the fact that other speakers have much clearer sound.

These babies are clear and loud!

Put these in the rear doors of my 2012 Sonata along with a component set in the front and a RF four channel to pump em up! These are very clear and loud to high volume levels and definitely hold their own. I love em!!

Decent speakers for wakeboard tower

The following review is for a previous version (T162C).

I decided to go with regular car speakers rather than marine speakers for my wakeboard tower since you get more for your money that way. The speakers do pretty good hooked up to an amp at 150 watts per speaker. I have 2 hooked up and they do great with the highs to mids but cant really handle the lows. I have them cranked up pretty loud to overcome the engine noise and they sound great while wakeboarding. Im usually about 50-60ft behind the boat. They look great too! I would def recomend these speakers for a tower.

Great set of 6 1/2s

The following review is for a previous version (T1652).

I installed these in a 1997 cadillac seville to replace the old factory bose and they made a huge improvement. Very loud and clear i would recommend you run them off an amp though for best sound.

Great coaxles for the price.

The following review is for a previous version (T1652).

I put these and the T2652 components in my truck along with a new Pioneer head unit and it made a WORLD of difference. These do sound good, but not near what the T2652's sound like. It might be how I have them mounted though. The basket on them was slightly too big for the speaker mount in the door so they aren't sitting flush against the hole. Besides that, on their own, they sound great. The build quality is top notch the design of the tweeter placement is really innovative. It's not mounted on the axle of the woofer like other coaxles, it's mounted separately off the frame, so you get more woofer real estate. All in all, a good sounding speaker at a good price.

Great speakers

The following review is for a previous version (T1652).

These speakers are great! I bought them for my brother and they sound far better than my Infinity system I had recently put in my own car! Definitely get these speakers! The Rockford Fosgate Subs are also as good as you can get! Buy Rockford Fosgate if you are truely tone picky like me.

Great sounding speakers!

The following review is for a previous version (T1652).

I have to say I didn`t think these speakers would sound as good as everyone else said they would but they rock. I have them in the front door`s of my 87 Porsche hooked up to an Alpine head unit with a seperate amp and they sound awesome. I think the only better sounding would be separates but now you are talking a few dollar`s more to say the least.

Bass from my Beatles - Finally!

The following review is for a previous version (T1652).

I thought my Beatles (and other old British music) would forever sound high-ended in my car. But a pair of T1652 in the rear deck solved that treble trouble. Now I need to order shallow mounts for the doors.

Great speaker at an awesome price!

The following review is for a previous version (T1652).

Speakers took a bit to break in but now that they are, they sound sweet. I was told by the installer that they were a pain to get to fit into the rear doors of my 99 Tahoe. Glad I got a bid for the work rather than just paying him Time and Materials!

rockfords

The following review is for a previous version (T1652).

I've installed these in my door panels but honestly the tweets can be a little brighter most of my highs came from my infinity 6x9 also purchased here and are great. also be sure you have an amp for them, they wont sound good without it.

Very Good Speakers

The following review is for a previous version (T1652).

I have 4 of these speakers installed in my Polaris Ranger. They are under the roof, but they do see lots of dust, moisture, vibration etc. So far they are holding up really well. I have a 380W amp installed also. These speakers sound awesome. They hit hard and sound great. I would recommend these speakers.

Amazingly Clear Speakers!

The following review is for a previous version (T1652).

I love these speakers! It took me a while to decide between many different ones but I finally settled on the Rockfords because of the brand, the specs, and the price. I was looking for a pair for under $100 dollars, and these are perfect. I have a Ford Ranger so I had to make custom brackets out of MDF in my doors in order for them to fit (because the stock speakers are all 6x8's) with the grilles. I have them hooked up to a 4 channel amp running at 60W RMS x4 channels. These speakers are so clear and loud. However, they are lacking in low end, but I have a sub so that takes care of that. I would definitely recommend them to anyone. They are just like having a pair of components in your car with the way they are built (loudness, etc.) Overall, another quality product from a very good brand.

Great Speakers

The following review is for a previous version (T1652).

Just put these into my '05 impreza in the rear deck custom fit, and all i can say is wow, amped up these things hit hard and the bass response is incredible. Up front i have some Polk db6501 components and they sing beautifully with the new punch i get from these rockfords.

I've only used them for about 2 days now so i cant wait to hear them once they get past their break-in stage.

Highly recommend these speakers and you can't beat the price.

Rockford Fosgate Power T1652

The following review is for a previous version (T1652).

I've been on the Rockford Fosgate power series tip for over 20 years these were a great addition to my system. I added them to the front kick panels and it brought out the mids and highs. Again it was a great addition to the power 12's in the rear.

Awsome service

The following review is for a previous version (T1652).

Hello all, i live in Australia in far north Queensland and am writing to tell anyone who is thinking about using Sonic for any purchase of any kind, i would like to tell you about my experience.
I found this company on eBay and purchased two sets of Rockford Fosgate speakers, i was told that my payment had been received the following day of purchase and that the parcel had be sent for shipment, now living in Australia and sonic being in the us I thought maybe ten to twelve day and i was more than surprised when they arrived in seven day in perfect condition no transport damage because they were pack great and the product, well once i got them fitted to my vehicle they blew me away, all i can say is great product, great freight time and a awesome company to deal with would not buy another car audio product anywhere else...

Decent speakers

The following review is for a previous version (T1652).

I just installed these in my car and they sound pretty nice. To be honest these are only the second pair I've ever bought. My last were Infinity Reference, and these have much clearer highs and mids, the bass is a little lacking though. The speakers get really loud but the low end cant keep up with it. I have my crossover set at 63 hz. at full volume they cant really handle 50 hz like its rated. But, with some subs these will work great. I'm powering these with a Kenwood Excelon X600F amplifier, on a pioneer head unit. The amp powers them with 100 watts RMS.

First to Review!

The following review is for a previous version (T1652).

First off I really like the design of these speakers because the tweeter is placed over the midbass driver. Such a great concept long overdue. Think about how that hole in the middle of your midbass might affect the overall sound of your speaker (ponder that for a second), and then consider this speaker. It's hard for me to give a true review of this because it's backing m MB Quart PVI comps up front but they seem to hold there own back there and probably are a great compliment to the Quarts just because of the bass response. There is no shame in having these up front though the might just take the lead in my girls car. Very impressed with these new Rockford speakers so far some dude at Best buy tried to tell me Rockford speakers suck I got em anywayz but what does he know they don't even sell this model or any power series from what I've seen. Sonic is selling these cheap got give it up to a great company not sure how they do it but let me speak for all music lovers and say thank you for bringing us the goods at a price that won't break the bank.

Great 6 Inch Speaker

The following review is for a previous version (T162C).

First off, this speaker is LOUD. I turned it up all the way on my stock system and got a headache. This thing is crystal clear at the volume, also. The speaker fits very easily into my 2001 Camaro and fills it with music with ease. I'm running it as both my doors and midbass and they're excellent. I highly recommend them.

Good overall

The following review is for a previous version (T162C).

I have a pair of these installed in My 1996 MB E320 in the front doors running off A factory bose amplifier. Sound Quality is Very good with a nice balance of Highs and Mids "When properly mounted" They sound best with acoustic music, haven't had any distortion problems Not incredibly loud, but sound really good at mid to relatively high volumes.

The following review is for a previous version (T1652).

These are super clear, i cannot hear one imperfection in sound quality, but they do need a lot of power to run, tweeters are nice and i like the way they are mounted to the speaker. I would 100% recommend these speakers for anyone looking for sound quality out of this world

Cool design never really seen before.

The following review is for a previous version (T1652).

Really neat how they mount the tweeters separately from the woofers, unlike common 2 way coaxial speakers. Seem to have pretty good punch to them, take a good amount of power without distorting. Really need to feed them power to get their full potential out.

Put these in the side pillars in my 02 SS w/ the monsoon system. Ran them full range, work great, I've had mostly Rockford in my cars, they always rock! I'm 55 but still love loud hard hitting rock. The infinity kappas i put in the doors stink, wish i put Rockford in doors too. Do recommend them for the price. Only negative thing, "Made in China".

I am very pleased with these speakers, Its hard to find clean sounding speakers with this high of a RMS power handling for this price. I listened to these speakers at a big chain electronics store before I bought them from Sonic and let me tell you they were more than double the price. They are Rockford Fosgates Power Series - They can't be that bad!!!
