Great Amp

this is the 2nd Rockford Fosgate amp I have purchased from Sonic, and I couldn't be more pleased. It's a small amp, but delivers big sound. When connected to my Kenwood head unit, it rocks! Not only will it blast my truck, at more normal volumes, it makes the music sound so much fuller. Rcokford Fosgate tests all their amps before they ship, so even though its rated at 250 amps, mine tested at 336 amps, wow. easy hook up ans small package to hide in Reg cab truck. I would definitely recommend

Great four channel amp !

I installed this amp for a friend's mom . In a Toyota suv . I upgraded the factory jbl door speakers I wanted an amp with enough power to push four 100 rms speakers . This Rockford amp didn't disappoint . Like most Rockford amps it is underrated my birth sheet said 270 watts as tested . Bottom line is plenty of power good separation from front to rear . This is a good mids and highs amp . I high recommend .

Great amp

This amp is great. It pushes my kicker 6x9s and Polk 6 1/2 perfect. Cristel clear sound worth the money. Been running this amp for a month now can't say anything bad about it. Love shopping with sonic great products and prices.

Can You Cook On This Thing?

First, I'll say this puts out great power. But, it gets HOT! I had it powered fully at 4 ohms and when I went to touch it I actually backed my hand off of it. I'm scared to actually take it down to 2 ohms because of how hot it gets now. Anyway, same quality you get from any Rockford Fosgate amp, just that one little hiccup. Just make sure its in a very well ventilated area, and you'll be okay. When I have the windows down and air flowing right to it, it doesn't get as hot as when I'm just driving around with the windows up and no AC on. With that heat though, it puts out some weird noises through the speakers. It doesn't do it before it gets heated up, but once it gets hot, sound quality goes down quite a bit. With that said, its still in tact very well and hasn't smoked at all. I have smelt it getting hot, but never actually seen any differences in it. It has been holding up very well for how hot it gets, and I drive long distances constantly.

Great amp, get hot

Plenty of power in my application (96 Vette) but gets hella hot.

Great little amp.

Great little amp for the price. Fits snug under my passenger seat and since the chassis is so small you dont notice it from the backseat. This amp has never shutoff nor had any issues. Tuned with a dd-1, the sound is crisp and clean at all levels. Also, the certificate says it was rated at 333w. So i paid for a 250w and got 333w. You can't beat it! Id recommend this entry series amp to anyone wanting to upgrade from stock. - Alex
