Great Amp, Great Price, Delivered Fast

Title says it all. Have ordered quite a bit from Sonic in the last few months and absolutely everything has been perfect, no snafus at all. Even the wiring harnesses and face plate adapters THAT WERE GIVEN FOR FREE AND OFFERED AS A SUGGESTION at the time of purchase were perfect. My installer said it was one of only a handful of times in his 15 yrs of stereo work that someone brought ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING that was necessary to complete the install. Sonic made me look good!

Great Sound, Bad Thermal Management

This amp really sounds great, running 4 RF component systems and a kicker CVR 12 in a sealed box, the electronic crossovers are fantastic and the amp has plenty of power to reenforce the bass and the treble frequencies. the only problem is that this amp can get hot, on a warm day in a black car the amp will thermally protect and require several minutes to cool off, my recommendation would be to mount it with lots of room for airflow or you may have problems driving 5ch at full volume. 3 star durability for the heating issue.

Awesome 5 Channel Amp

I would definitely recommend this amplifier, this thing is a beast! This amp is running a pair of Pioneer TS-D6902R in the back, a pair of Pioneer TS-D1602R in front and a AudioPipe Subwoofer. Well this amp pushes them very clean, very smooth and VERY loud. I have no complaints. For me this amp is a must buy, and for the price, why not?

Tried others, kept this one

This amp does the job well. I tried to save a few dollars with another brand and sorry I just didn't go for the Rockford in the first place. Its not a show amp that you'll brag about looks, but the music is nice and clear. I'm pleased with power of the sub channel and the remote control is a great feature to adjust the punch depending on your mood. Its great to have all the tuning options but it took some effort to get it dialed in just perfect along with the tuning settings on the deck. I'm only running one sub but think of adding a second now that know what the amp can deliver. Overall, a great product for the daily driver.

Very Nice Amp!

The following review is for a previous version (R600-5).

I bought this amp, so that I could power all my speakers and sub, with one amplifier. I have a toyota tundra standard cab. Even though I do have a decent amount of room behind the seats, I wanted the install to be clean and as compact as possible. Having ONE amp, was what I was aiming for.

This amp is not huge by any means, but it does the job nicely. Like all RF amps, this one comes with a certificate on certified power. Listed as 600 watts rms by 5 channel at 2 ohms on the box, mine is rated at 721 watts rms by 5 channel at 2 ohms of actual power on the certificate.... Which means the sub is getting about 360 watts rms since it is 2 ohms. Half of the power goes to the subwoofer and the other have is spread out among the rear and front lefts and rights. So each output for the speakers is getting about 90 watts rms at 2 ohms. I have infinity speakers, and infinity makes their speakers all 2 ohm independent. So they are getting what they need.

Very good signal to noise ratio and very clear sound. VERY LOUD!!! I have the inside speakers' gains only about 1/3 the way up, as it hurts my ears to have them any higher. I barely have to turn up the HU. The sub is being powered very well and hits hard. I was deciding on this amp or one of the kicker 5 channel amps, but I went with this because of the price, and I knew it would be rated much higher than 600 watts rms, and I was correct... Good Purchase. I highly recommend.

Love it!

The following review is for a previous version (R600-5).

I did a lot of research before selecting this amp and am totally satisfied with it. I have owned it now for over 6 months. The certification enclosed with it stated the output was 751 Watts! I use it to drive two Boston Acoustics 6x9s in the front doors, and two Polk 5.5 coaxials in the rear plus two Polk tweeters in the sail panels and two Polk 3.5" speakers in the dash. It also drives a 10" Pioneer sub under the rear seat. The amp is mounted behind the rear seat of my 2011 Tundra DC.

The sound is crystal clear and I have more bass than I need so I usually keep it at 1/4 and rarely more than 1/2 of the full limit.

You can't beat this amp for the money!

Great Amp for the money

The following review is for a previous version (R600-5).

I have this amp running all 4 component polk db series speakers and 1 massive (brand name) 12" sub in a ported box. I have a 4 guage power wire, and monster 6 channel RCA's on a Keenwood deck with 4 volt preamp rca outs for front, rear, and sub. With this setup i am only running the amp at half power and without hyp or exageration this amp suprised the heck out of me. It friggen rocks like a multi amp setup. So for the price, you simply can NOT beat this amplifier. For a moderate setup and a great music experience this is the amp for you. And you can always trust Fosgate.

very nice unit

The following review is for a previous version (R600-5).

This amp is a very nice, clean unit for a 5 channel. Very nice, a little on the warm side but what 5 channel isn't.

Checks all the boxes

I chose this amp because the price was reasonable, it came with an RLC (bass knob) as well as a bass boot circuit (which is hard to find in a decent 5 channel), and the reviews across the web were great. Wasn’t disappointed as it delivered on all of my expectations. Only downfall was the extremely bright LED lights on the amp chassis as well at the RLC.

I love this amp!

Let me start off by saying I did a lot of research on amps before I decided on this one. I'm very glad I did, for what I was doing it fit my application perfectly! I'm pushing 4 fosgate prime 6-3/4 full range at 50 watts on 4ohm, also a fosgate p2d412 at 300 watts on 2ohm. It sounds amazing super clear highs and mids and plenty of juice for the sub. Also the featured remote bass gain noob is so nice to have when I want more or less bass, it's not a bass eq booster either like a lot of amps. It controls the total output to the sub! But won't over do it because the amps gain is the max it can go regardless of remote level. I bought the smd distortion detector and cross over calibrator to perfectly set my gains and crossovers and I just sit back and crank the volume without fear of blowing anything up because I matched my rms of the speakers and sub too the rms output of the amp. (Super important! But no one does it.) so if your looking for for a nice 5 channel amp this is the one! I should mention tho when doing my research I did see some ppl having issues with over heating but to be fair the little thing is doing the work of two amps, but mine stays nice and cool but the real test will be this summer. Not going to win any beauty contests but she gets the job done nicely. Highly recommend! Buy a power cap too I got the fosgate digital 2 farad one to go with everything else fosgate you pay more but you get more!!

Great Amp

The following review is for a previous version (R600-5).

First, Sonic came through fast and all as advertised. The RF R600 works absolutely great. For the power range and price, I really dont think you can do better. Very happy!

Great amp for the money!

The following review is for a previous version (R600-5).

This is a very nice amp for the money. My amp arrived with a birth sheet of 700 Watts RMS total power. The amp provides lots of clean power and it is very easy to tune or make adjustments. They even include a separate bass control wired remote (Kicker charges you $25 extra for theirs). Overall a solid amp, from a top manufacturer, that features quality construction and ample power.

Overall nice amp, a bit bulky for concealment

The following review is for a previous version (R600-5).

I bought this amp for my 2008 dodge ram truck. My first thought was to conceal this under a seat because I wanted a stealth system. It really was alot longer than i first thought, but once I got over the length this was exactly what I wanted. Im using it for my surrounds running an alpine type R system 6.5 and 6x9. overall this thing is sweet, with no heating issues and lots of power.

Great amp for the money!!

The following review is for a previous version (R600-5).

I have had multi-amp setups in the past and wanted to try out a multi-channel amp. Based on my preferences I like the multi-channel better. This amp puts out plenty of clean power when tuned right. I would definitely recommend this amp. Sonic had it at a great price and I received my shipment a day early.

Awsome amp

The following review is for a previous version (R600-5).

I have ran this amp for 12-16 hrs straight and never had a problem out if it. It is pushing 1 12" fosgate P2 sub, 2 boston acoustic 6.5 pro components, and 2 infinity kappas and sounds great. I would definitely buy again.

All in one power

The following review is for a previous version (R600-5).

Looking for power for all of your speakers and don't want to spend tons or have several amps, this amp is the ticket. About 1/3 power is all I can stand in my vehicle. I liked having one amp to drive 4 sets of speakers and one sub. I will probably look at another R600-5 for one of my other cars. One critical thing to mention, you must use 6 RCA connectors, 3 pairs, if you want 5 speaker setup. I used 4 with a y-spliter for sub inputs. There is no switch to combine inputs for using a single RCA. I would include the cost of RCAs in your budget.

Good sound and performance for the price

After upgrading from a blown up 6 channel jl amp this amp had cleaner sound and way less distortion. It can run a little warm if you push it to hard

Better than I expected

The birth sheet stated it had a good amount more power than the rating. My system is now much more clear and has more punch when turned all the way up. This is what I was looking for. I have it powering infinity kappa components in the front, jbl gx in the back doors and the kicker 6.75 w/ the passive woofer. I have ran this amp for hours at a time and it never shuts down or misses any beats. Highly recommended. Makes me wonder how much better the Punch and Power series amps could possibly sound.
