THE BEAST.

I have had this beast for over 6 months and the wallop it packs never seizes to amaze me. It is powered by a JBL GTO 5355 5 channel amp which in itself, is also a monster. ONE WORD OF ADVICE: Be sure to use a good quality aftermarket head unit with this sub and if you must use your factory unit, use some form of sound processor that will transmit quality signals from the head unit to your amp.

After doing a lot of research and reviewing, I settled on this loaded box. This sub is amazing. Rockford fosgate makes a quality product at an affordable price. ** if your into listening to heavy bass for long periods... Step up to the P2 or P3 due to overheating** (also, no grill or guard for the actual speaker, be extra careful!) for the rest of us this sub has just enough bump and boom to sound great!

A bit of a space hog but for the price I really cant say you will do much better unless you increase your budget many times higher. Great overall quality box and sub. No speaker grille but at this price spend the $20.00 extra and do it right, I have all pioneer electronics, DEH80 head and 9605 AMP @ RMS: 75 Watts x 4 + 350 Watts x 1 @ 4 ohms. With the bass knob 1/2 to 3/4 up it pounds the bass. At full bass the car pounds and vibrates so I usually tune the bass knob from amp to 1/2 setting. 06 Camry fits it well but it takes up a fair bit of space as it is ported.

Exceeded my Expectations

This is a great sub if you're looking for deep, quality bass. It's not going to be enough to be heard from a block away but it will definitely shake your car if given enough power. I didn't expect much considering it's just a P1 but man does it deliver. I have it in a 96 Accord and I don't need any more bass than this! Please note that it doesn't come with a cover and I highly recommend getting one so things in your trunk don't puncture it.
