Works great for me. Accidentally wired my subs for .5 ohms and sub still ran fine.

Rockford Fosgate Punch P1000X1bd

First off, like all RF gear its underrated. My P1000x1bd's birth sheet specs it at 1472 watts at 1 ohm. Here are the pros/cons of this amp

PRO
- high power, sounds pretty good
- no turn on wire required, can "listen" to the rca inputs and turn the amp on or off
- has crossover and hpf
- accepts a large range of input voltages
- relatively compact for actual power output and runs cool even after extended high volume listening

CON
- at start up I hear a high pitch (almost like alternator whine but not actual alt whine) sweep as the amp comes to life. It takes about 20-30seconds and it starts at ~15khz and sweeps down to like 8-10khz. its not loud, but it is audible and is coming through 15" subs and its own internal LPF set to 80-100hz. After this is complete, it does not have any noise present and is a quiet amp
- my line levels are 5v and it needs to have the input sensitivity cranked to the .5v setting to balance with the rest of my system. Could just be that my line out isnt really 5v. However, the full range amp I am running is also a rockford amp and adjustment seems to be on point with 5v.
- you have to buy the bass knob. Come on RF. charge more if you need to include a 5 $ (your cost) bass knob in the box. I am not buying one on principle alone.

I am running 2 RF 15" P3d4s at 1ohm and they are a perfect match for the power this amp creates. Its definitely a bass heavy system, but doesnt have to be obnoxious either.

Punch 1000

Very good amp price was good have this in 2010 tahie with 2 10 p2 fosgates and bass is clean and powerful. Set up was easy dont be confuesd on speaker connection still one channel. Tuning procedure was easy also

Great quality

Easy to set up with its built in hardware and music cd. Saves speakers by showing when you clip via led. Mine put our nearly 1300w rms. Never gets hot. Hide away controls and simple power wire connections.... i loved this amp when I had it.

A Dying Breed

There arent many companies left whos power ratings actually stand up with the performance of the amp, BUT Rockford still sends a 1000x1 amp that still contains a CEA birth certificate. My amplifier was born pushing 1521 watts RMS. yes it really does. If you want the power and you want the label to tell you the power ratings that are as good or better than the number in the name, There is only one place left to look that i know of since Pheonix Gold sold out long ago. Rockford Fosgate, for the real world stats and ability to get beat up as they will from time to time

Rockfords no joke

Just got this amp today and im already impressed, Rockford puts Styrofoam inserts on the side of the amps so it holds them in place in their box's which is awesome because the box all my stuff came in looked like it got in a wreck and i was worried the amp got damaged, but nope it was perfectly fine. When you open your box the first thing you notice is the birthsheet which is a nice feature because only certain manufacturers put them. when i pulled the amp out it was tiny and sleek looking because the heat fins are a machined black color and the main parts are brushed black aluminum so this amp looks as good as it performs. My birthsheet read 489 @ 4ohms, 887 @ 2ohms, and 1464 @ 1ohm up to 1 percent thd so i think it might put out more rms with a dynamic test or when your playin music. Im upgrading to this amp from a jl slash 500.1 mainly because the power ratings give me more flexibility with different subs. I will say that the Jl sounds better overall and on lows and transition notes because i already compared it to the RF power 1000 i currently have in another vehicle, but for the price i paid for this amp and the features it has it holds its own and it actually compares to the Slash series sound wise more than any other amp brands ive tried. With clip indicators, sub sonic filter, and an icredible design its more than i asked for from a 300-400 dollar amp, Rockford doesnt play no games if you look them up theirs alot of haters saying their old stuff is better but having had 3 generations, this is the best yet hands down.

Power

I have it Powering 2 jl audio 10tw3. This system sounds better than just about any 12 inch sub woofer's I've heard. I have the subwoofers wired at 1ohm. The power and match with those subwoofers was unreal. If you have a limited space definitely need to go with this set up.

Great amp.

Shows 1000rms @1 ohm but my testing sheet shows 1510 and upon testing myself it definitely puts the power down before getting any clipping. Great buy. Wish it came with the bass knob though.

Super crisp

Basically i ran this amp with r2 300x4 with my 2 cvx 15s and alpine tweeters with kwnwood performance 6.5s and i sounds like a truck coming down the street this i the best amp i have had ever over hyphonix, performance techniq jl audio and ct sounds

Monster of an amp

This p1000x1bd is a master amp I have it install in a 2016 hyundai sonata limited with the factory head unit and an lc2i and 2 p2d2-10 and this amp gives plenty of power to the subs rms1485 at 1ohm I have my wire to 2ohms and this amp this still have plenty of power to give and then some. I would definitely recommend this amp if your looking for some serious power
