These are very clear and powerful for the price and watt range, really recommend to buy if wanting 6x9s.

Sounds good

I purchased these speakers to replace the blown factory speakers in my 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The installation took about 45 minutes and no modification was required. The Rockford Fosgate speakers have improved the sound over the stock speakers.

These 6x9's are great quality! They sound so crisp and clear installed in the rear deck in my 2000 impala. I'm even planning on getting them for my girlfriend as a birthday present.

fosgate speakers

I put these speakers in my 94 Dodge and they are superb, they are the best I have had in there yet, I have had this truck for years and they are great!! The old Boston's wore out and this was an excellent choice.
I am going to put some in my 96 Chevy next

Rockford rocks!

I put these in boxes behind the seat of my reg. cab Tundra which only had door speakers originally.
Ou la la! what a difference! I replaced the door speakers with Rockford 6-3/4" ers also but you're not gonna get any bass out of those without an amp.
The 6X9"s put out the legendary Rockford bass but the mids and highs are beautiful even driven by my clean signaled but low powered Sony media player head unit!

I ordered these recently, came to my house within 3 days. I threw em in my Grand Prix GT and was amazed. My friends always come in my car and ask where my subs are. Thumpin.

I'm gonna start off by saying how great the service is here at sonic electronix. A lot of people have recommended me to this site. So I figured I'd give it a try with these speakers. I ordered them on the 21st of march and they were on my door step 3 days later via FREE SHIPPING. I installed them in my 2001 Oldmobile Alero and they sound pretty good for some 6 by 9s. They actually make my trunk rattle a little bit lol. Besides that I'd recommend these speakers to anyone who's looking for some clean cut bass, along good highs as well. The service was great, and the price was reasonable as well.

I bought these speakers to get more mid-range volume out of my sound system. They're loud and pretty clear, with a solid range of tones. They don't deliver a whole lot of bass, but for the price I paid for them I can't complain a bit. Great value, good brand, good product.

massive magnets

I installed these in the rear deck lid of my 2001 Impala. When you open the trunk, all you see is magnet. I have a Kenwood HD552u head unit pushing 22watts per channel (rms) pushing these. The tweets are clear and the woofer is nice and tight. The sound is good, but know it could sound great with the right kind of power behind it. Going to have to dig out the old Punch 45hd and see how that makes it sound. Would recommend for someone that will be running an amp to them otherwise may want to just run the Prime series for just a stereo hook up.

These speakers are pretty neat. They sound crisp and pretty clear for not having been hooked up to an amp yet. They give a decent amount of bass for a pair of 6x9's, but aren't subs for bass anyway? Their easy plug and play is nice, but my favorite feature of these speakers is the design. The speaker grills are a simple, fairly stock design that actually will protect them from damage by anything in the cargo area of my Cherokee. Also, it doesn't look so fancy, so i don't need to worry about my car getting broken into. Definitely recommend having a speaker amp because these can definitely take more power than a deck can put out.

Just what I needed

I researched for quite a while and read a lot of peoples reviews, so i might as well give something back now. I found that Rockford is a pretty high quality brand, but for an awesome price. I ended up buying the 6x9 and the 4x6 and I was extremely satisfied. I had a sub system before, but i wanted to start over and from a good foundation of quality speakers. I still, after 6 months havent installed a sub system because these speakers literally satisfy enough. I was gentle on them while they were breaking in, but now i can bump em. the 6x9 in the back make your back vibrate like a sub, not joking. The bass is just dang beautiful, and i dont have a bass boost on or anything. crisp. Terminals were easy to work with too. For the record this is with the 2 ways (for both 6x9 and 4x6)
When I do get a sub.... im already lookin at the Rockford P3 12inch dvc.. ooh baby.

Great For the Price

I've had these speakers for over a year now and I'm still impressed. Great sound, even have a good amount of bass for a door speaker.

Good all around

Great speaker. Price is on par for the quality and brand name. Sonic always has the lowest prices! Good, loud speakers. Clear highs, although not the "crispiest" (That's what tweeters are for). Really loud Hi-Hat cymbal hits or loud crash cymbals can be a tiny bit distorted, but not really noticeable when rocking out! Nice high-mid range to around 100-80Hz bass. I play all kinds of rock, country and some rap. So A good testing mix. Worth it? Heck yea! I trust the Fosgate name! I've had these for about a year. Still putting out strong. I just took the amp on these speakers up another notch. Still sounds great!

Awesome and Cheaaap!

I just got these in the mail today. I have 2 6x9 boxes for them but the wires from the terminal are soldered and they have both female quick connectors for positive and negative. So I'm gonna have to do some modifications. They have HUGE magnets for speakers. i have subs too. I'm sure if i turn off my subs, i will still a have great amount of bass. I cant wait to install these!!

i hooked these speakers to a pioneer super tuner they were ok but when i hooked them to 80 watts a channel of hifonics power wow there a little power hungry and can take more than rated really loud and clean when givin enough power would not fit front doors of crystler sebring touring (large magnet) fit with slight mod. in back of coup

decent speakers

These are good starter speakers. Not the best I've ever heard. They get distorted long before my RF T1462 4x6 speakers. Im only running 50 rms a channel @ 4 ohms. You get what you pay for.

Great value

I installed these on each rear door of my 2005 Silverado. Could really hear a difference in sound quality.

Rockford greatness as always

I put 2 of these in each of the doors in my Civic Coupe custom fiberglassed up. Got them about fully powered @ 150rms per door. No joke, not only do they play everything beautifully, they shake my windows and doors just from that amped up power. Full-range great quality, love every bit. They are a bit large but other than that with the grills or not they are beautiful and great sounding speakers. The price is hard to pass up for what you get.

Replaced Saab one-way rear speakers with these two-way Rockford-Fosgates; perfect fit; outstanding clarity, range and volume. Also replaced in-dash speakers with two-way Boston Acoustics from Sonic Electronix. This sytem sounds better than the Fender system in my wife's new VW.

Very punchy clean sound

These are great speakers. I'm glad I spent a bit more for a well known car brand. They sound super clean. Comparing them to a home audio system, they are a bit more punchy and not as smooth and crisp. But they are definitely a good choice for a medium priced speaker set. The bass response is not bad, although if you are a heavy bass fan then you'll probably want a sub as well because these don't produce a huge amount of bass. The high level is really great on these and it is very crisp. Sounds particularly great with electronic music.

clean sound

I have these installed in my 07 mitsubishi galant.
They're installed in the rear. Sound wise the speakers are clear with no distortion. And the bass you get with it is also nice. The only problem I had was with fitment, the sides were a little to thick so it would not sit flush. untill I shaved the deack a little bit. over all very god product. its nice and looks factory with the grille.

Perfect for what we needed.

Needed to replace worn-out rear deck factory speakers in a 97 Acura TL. This required 6x9's without a tweeter/midrange that stuck out which eliminated 90% of the other 6x9s. These worked and sound great for her setup and were a great value. We also replaced the front door speakers and got a new head unit and an Infinity Basslink trunk-mount subwoofer. The subwoofer handles the low lows so these 6x9's don't have to. The head unit is configurable for a subwoofer so it doesn't send the low lows to the rear 6x9s. I'm old (47) and did this for my daughter. I can't believe how good her setup sounds for the price we paid. She couldn't be happier.

very nice speakers

I put these on my Harley in the saddle bags with a arc audio amp and they sound great. I would suggest these to anyone.

Fantastic speakers

These handle bass really well and a nice smooth high end that doesn't get lost in the mix. I am currently running them off the head unit and I am very happy with the performance. I only imagine I will like them more once I get the amp installed.

Review

I got these speakers along with the 6-1/2" speakers for my boyfriend for Christmas. They sounded great when we first hooked them up, but it was such a hassle trying to get them in. They don't fit correctly in his car even though the site says they will! We had to cut away part of his door panel to make them fit. And now these speakers sound muffled, like they've been blown, but he never turns his music up too loud. So there is no reason for them to have blown in 6 months. They're supposed to be really good speakers,but I'm unhappy with the fact that they don fit and now sound muffled.

RF Punch 6x9 2 way

These speakers pound. I have done many installs as I work for a car audio shop. These are by far the the best sounding and hardest hitting 6x9s I have ever heard. Put a small amp on them and they beat like you have 8" subs in your rear deck!!

Nice Set of 6 x 9's

I bought these for my Gf's Hyundai Elantra and it makes a hell of a difference in bass, clarity, and sound. she used to turn her stereo all the way up and blew her stock speakers, I put these in and you can feel the nice smooth bass vibrate the seats sounds so much better, def worth the money! fast shipping great deal!! if you need some good sounding speakers for cheap these are the ones!

Worked well with 07 Hyundai Tiburon SE

As I stated above, I got these as a replacement for the 2007 Hyundai Tiburon rear speakers and they work great/fit well. I had to buy different screws to mount it properly but it fits quite easily.

Awesome bang for your buck

I recommend these 6x9 for anyone wanting to upgrade there factory speakers. I'm using these with a after market deck and no amp and they still sound great.

Rockford Fosgate speakers are great!

I am running 2 pairs of these speakers pushed by an 800 watt amp in my jeep. They are very loud for the top down days and they have pretty good thump. I get plenty of comments on how good they sound. For the price you can't beat them. I have pushed them hard for a year and they are still delivering. I recommmend these speakers and I would buy them again.

Just what I wanted

I am what they call "middle-aged". Was looking for something relative inexpensive, with good sound quality and I got it. The bass was so intense, I thought the subwoofer was on. It wasn't. I even disconnected the wire, just to be sure. The sound is "full", rich, and for what they cost, it is a great value in my opinion.

I had problems after 1 day of installing them. The speakers crackle and I have hardly any bass.

Sound so Clear

This was the final addition to my van sound system.
I installed all RF speakers in my van (7 total) including bass. My van rocks. The sound is so clean, clear, and crisp I'm hearing parts of music I never even herd before. Given the van is carpet and much cloth covered surfaces the acoustics are fantastic. All the RF speakers were a stock size replacement so installation went as good as it can get. I'm very pleased with the audio system and much thanks to Sonic for making it economical to achieve this level of quality sound. I'm a very satisfied customer.

I installed these Rockford Fosgate 6x9's in the rear deck of my 2016 Corolla S- Special Edition, to replace the cheap paper factory speakers. AND WOW !!
The bass just came alive. I'm running my factory stereo/cd for now, but the Rockford Fosgate speakers really awakened my stereo.
