P500-1bd

I put this amp in my daughters 2003 Mustang and paired it with a P3 12 inch sub in a ported box. The two work great together. Set-up was no problem on the amp. She has had no problem with it at all, but remember she also gave everything time to break-in. Birth sheet read 286 watts @ 4 ohms, 471 watts @ 2 ohms, and 745 watts @ 1 ohm. I wired the sub at a 2 ohm load by-the-way. So the amp is running at a comfortable ohm load. I would suggest anyone get the PLC 2 remote control for the amp. My daughter loves the remote, but so do I.

Great Purchase!

I have had this amp hooked up to 2 12" Rockford P3 shallow mount woofers and this amp pushes them great. Plenty of power and a nice clean look. I would recomond this item to anyone.

Check the birth certificate.

My B.C. Says 792 watts rms, AMAZING! I have two of these 500bd's wired to 2 12" P3's, and they are LOUD!! These amps are solid at 1 ohm and are super easy to install and setup! For the price this amp worth a ton more, and will be aroun for years!!

awesome amp

Everyone says Rockford isn't any good since the started manufacturing overseas, but the thing is, so did everyone else pretty much. I bought this amp to run one 2 0hm dvc ten because it was pretty close to ideal rms at 1 0hm..... just a little under. But the amp was actually about 300 watts more than the 500 it was suppised to be at 798 watts @ 1 ohm. The setup was super easy. Their clipping indicator light was spot on against an oscilloscope. Rockford makes good stuff and always has. This amp sounds great runs cool and makes a lot of power for its rating. How can you talk trash about that? It does more than it says and that says it all!

Good job Sonic

There is a reason Rockford Fosgate is still around and the products are CEA compliant.

Well worth the money

I replaced my Hifonics Zeus 1000 watt monoblock and this hits much harder. It may be due to the ease of tuning and clip indicators but this amp delivers a much nicer punch and SUPER clean. Paired with a skar MA8 in a G35 coupe and I’ve hit 109DB’s. Very happy.

Rockford Fosgate Punch P500X1BD

I bought this amp to power a Rockford Fosgate P3-1X12 enclosure. I'm running it at 1ohm with the gain at halfway and she slams. Used to have 2 12" American Bass subs and they didn't sound as clean as this one 12". The amp runs cool, draws power efficiently and is easy to tune. Fits 4 gauge wire no problem. The amp I bought has a birth sheet that shows it puts out 777 watts, so they underrate their equipment. Just buy it you won't regret it

Amazing Amp..

I have this hooked to 2 Kicker Comp R's running a total of 1Ohm, and even with the subs slamming for an extended period, this amp is barely warm. It's also heavy and built well, and looks good. I would recommend this for anyone looking for the type of power needed in the 500 Watt range over anything else.

Good size

Easy to setup and install. Sit and hidden underneath the seat. Got a serious punch on my 12" sub. My car is a compact hatchback and i can see the window vibrates with fair volume. I would suggest this amp if you're looking for a 1 ohm output.

Good Powerful Sub

The following review is for a previous version (P500-1BD).

I have this powering 2 Boston Acoustic G210 subs wired in parallel (2 ohms) Spec sheet says at least 450W.
Amp is built solid and has LPF and bass boost adjustments. Runs cool and sounds great without letting up.
Wired it up with a 4-gauge let.
Not quite as nice as the Power Series but very good.

Wow

The following review is for a previous version (P500-1BD).

All I can say is wow Rockford has changed these Punch series up. They are so much smaller and produce tons of power 454 watts rms at 2ohms and 700 watts rms at 1ohm on my birthsheet. Defiantly worth the money.

Rockford Fosgate Amp P500-1BD

The following review is for a previous version (P500-1BD).

I have had this amp running 2 PS3 10" Subs flawlessly for 6 months now. Extremely pleased with it's performance and the distortion is minimal if even audible. I would recommend this product to anyone!

Nothing but the best

The following review is for a previous version (P500-1BD).

I bought this amp because of the price. It was half of what any retailer wanted for the same product. The customer service was even better. I even bought subwoofers too as a result of the first experience. Nothing but excellent service and quality in both transactions. I highly reccomend Sonic Electronix.com to anyone looking for electronic equipment.

Very Satisfied

The following review is for a previous version (P500-1BD).

i have had this item for about six months now and have never had a problem with it. i am running it with 2 Rockford 12s in the Rockford box that was made for them. i also run it with a cap on the side which i was erie about. but i will say the set up was very straight forward and easy to tune! the amp is a very strong and clear power maker and i believe it is one of the best on the market!

Doesn't get any better

The following review is for a previous version (P500-1BD).

This amp is rated 500rms @ 1 ohm. my birth sheet said it was actually 697 @ 1 ohm and 2032 watts peak. No other 500 watt amp can even come close to that with the great price from Sonic Electronix

Rockford - Nuff Said

Wow.. Words can not express how great this amp is. With a birth sheet of 787 watts RMS, it complements the Rockford P3D2. I have mine wired to 1ohm and it blows my doors off! A must have, I do recommend the PLC2 to adjust the madness

Good clean amp

The following review is for a previous version (P500-1BD).

RF has very solid amp designs. No issues what so ever. I think RF was one of the last car audio companies to send manufacturing overseas which I thought was kind of sad because they were one of the few native made amps. I've owned high end Orion, and a bunch of copy cats Power Acoustik, Clarion, Kenwood, etc and you do get what you pay for.

Awesome amp, delivers more than 500 watts rms!

The following review is for a previous version (P500-1BD).

Helped a friend install this in his car paired with 2 12" P2's and damn does his car slam now! Birth sheet was well over 500 rms at 576 rms at 2-ohms which was very impressive! Rockford all the way!

This amp is a beast. I have it powering two p2d2-10 and wow this is amazing even though it doesn't match the subs rms. I will be upgrading to the p1000x1bd to power the p2d2-10 properly but this amp gets the job done. All pros and no cons.
