Skar Audio's IVXD4 10" subwoofer

overall it seems to be a really good subwoofer, I have it in the 1.3cu.ft labyrinth slot ported box wired @2ohm's and set to 42hz on the port and I believe the sub calls for 41hz, but sub sounds amazing good hard hitting and lots of low end boom, and hooked to the Skar Audio LP550.1 mono block amplifier. I cannot say on durability as I have only had this thing for 3 weeks now, so I will update that as time goes by with it, it does seem durable with a stiff spider and good venting to the voice coil, but again, only time can tell on that for sure as with any subwoofer or anything for that matter. You could take 10 of the same product and 8 might last for years upon years and 2 might make it only 3 months or 6 months and other variables as well. I will update within 6 months and so on

Overall its a very good sub

SKAR Audio IVX-10 V2 D4
This sub sounds very good and will take a lot of watts i have it on a Soundstrem rub1000.1 D . I never heard a 10" sub bass like this one dose it has me very impressed by the sound/bass it puts out. I have had 15s before on a rockferd amp and did not sound as good as this 10" Skar Audio IVX-10 D4 dose. at first I had it hooked up to a soundstorm force 1200.1 amp an it sounded like ok butt no wow for this 10". I knew I could get more out of it going with a better amp so I did some research an went with the soundstrem Rubacon 1000.1 D and wow.

skar audio

there is a lot of smack talk about skar being a b stock of sundown audio and people call it skarbage cause they think it is junk but they are actually not bad even if they are more costly than other speakers with a 2" voice coil and 400 wrms rating. but i have 2 of these in a groundshaker bandpass box on a alpine mrd m500 wired at 4 ohm so they are seeing 250wrms total which is 1/3 of the power recommended and they slap pretty hard. im quite impressed cause i have been beating them for over a year now and they still sound good. most people think i have 2 12's or 15's and when i show them they are kinda confused lol especially on the wattage they are on.
