what caps do....

Folks i been in car audio for 18 years. Caps do not produce amps or volts. They will stablize your electrical demand but very briefly. They discharge lightning fast. They will help ease start up. If your car stereo is causing lights to dim, your electric load on battery and altnator has been reached. 2 things remedy issue bigger altnator and maybe 2nd battery. Always take 35% of altnator power for car. Do the math. If you got a stock alt. say 100 amps but your amp is using 70 amps you got issues. Back off the volume. Car repairs are costly and hearing too.

C Whit Germany

I currently have this product, and i have to say that it is not what i thought it was going to be. I am running a US Amps Merlin MD1 and an Alpine type X 10 DVC 4. I use to run a RE Audio SE12D2 @ 1 ohms and this thing just doesn't keep up. My headlights dimmed badly at just above half of the volume. Now that i am running @ 2 ohms, I get more volume before my lights dim. I am going to purchase either a Shuriken BT-20 or a 3 farad or higher cap.

Not Bad not great

I aready had a 8 farad cap for my system and noticed no difference voltage conservation. Looks cool, nice illumination. Cant exactly tell how well it works with another cap. If you want to seriously hold power for a big stereo system, buy something else.
