Nice
This is a well designed, quality product. This is my second Sangean clock radio..both have operated well. I can't speak to the quality of the radio sound though. I've always chosen the alarm buzzer, bell, or beeper for my alarm. I will always chose a clock radio over an alarm clock though, because of the generally larger size, better controls, and good stability on the beside table.
I have also browsed Sangean's product line and come away with the impression that they are not screwing around. Spoke to a Sangean tech also and I found him to be intelligent and knowledgeable...definitely the real thing.

Great Value
I like the clock radio with new color face. It is very important to read
the setting instructions because there is so much to learn.

Very Pleased
This clock radio is by far the best I have ever owned and well worth the price. As far as the time settings go; I just set the time manually as opposed to the atomic clock or radio time clock set options. Reception and sound quality is wonderful; in the menu screen one can opt for 'loudness' on/off - on provides more bass. The two alarms are very easy to use and re-set; which is important to me as I must wake at various times on various days. The NAP timer function is a luxury that one wouldn't do without.
"Volume" to me is extremely important; and this clock/radio is VERY good; on the right side is a large rubberized volume wheel that has very small incremental 'clicks' (that also show on the screen display; 0 to 30). It is hard to think of a bad thing to say...
Ive read reviews before purchasing this and some have said abotu the clock face brightness. The lower right buton is a two-step deal that shows the face either 100% or dimmed. The amount of 'dimmness' is set by a knob underneath.
A very nice feature is the "AUX IN" option so one can plug in thier mp3 player (requires a 3.5 male/male cord). Turn your MP3 player's volume to its max.
It is also a very appealing radio, appearance-wise.
The downside?? Lots of cords. Power, atomic clock, FM. The power cord is thicker than one might think. The NOAA weather band would be nice to have..
I wanted not just any clock radio (where one may buy for 30) but for a good quality clock radio. At about 60; I am very glad I paid the exrea money for good quality and ease of functions. Anyone who has to wake up at different times of the day on various days will appreciate this radio; with its twin alarms and the nap timer. The 'buzzer' is a very nice sound but it begs for your attention after ay 30 seconds; more so if a minute has passed.
But this is what we want; to wake up- and in a considerate manner.
This clock radio delivers on all accounts.
I am extremely pleased not only with this product but also the merchant.

Sangean RCR-22 (RCR22)
I would definitely recommend this clock radio, it has many features like the ability to set alarms for week days only. The display is very clear and easy to read day or night and the brightness can be adjusted to suit your needs. The atomic signal for the clock popped up right away and has remained connected. I depend on this clock to wake me up for work and the fact that it always has the correct time is really great. When the alarm turns on the radio it starts of soft and increases volume until it reaches the level that you have set. I have not found anything that I do not like about this clock radio and am considering getting more as Christmas gifts for my family.

SANGEAN R-22
The radio gets good reception and the sound quality is better than any other clock radio that I've had. The display is very bright and the numbers get more and more difficult to read the dimmer you make the backlight so it takes several days to find the right setting that isn't too bright or too dim. I don't know if I got a bad one but the brightness adjuster knob is so tight that I can barely turn it. I tore up my finger trying to turn it so many times. Also, I'm not sure if the atomic clock feature is not getting a good signal or just isn't working properly. The RDS seems to be setting the time faster now but at first it took awhile.
