Exactly what I was looking for! I was looking for something inexpensive but capable of holding my Iphone on my motorcycle. I use it without the safety strap and it really grips the phone well. I recommend this product to anyone!

After market headaches

I ordered a sony rdaio because I wanted to put my own music on my Harley FLH no wires USB. I orferedi it in winter getting stuff ready to take bike to shop and have everything installed when it warmed up. In Canada. I get the radio put in and realize they didn't send the rain cover. Finally arrives and doesnt come close to fitting my bike. My radio guy says if I want to be able to ride in the rain( are you serious? ) I need to get a Clarion marine radio. Obviously bikes get wet so I tell him to go agead. Fortunately president of Clarion Canada is a biker and he had the harness controls thingy to operate from the bars. Happy happy. I try to return the radio from Sony and they tell me Im past thirty days so its sitting on my garage shelf with their radio cover that doesnt fit. Clarion marine doesnt need a cover.

Great product once installed

Seems to work as expected and keeps radio dry on the boat.
My only complaint is with the installation. No cut out template or dimensions are included so it makes for a lot of trial and error.
Cut the hole too wide and there is nothing to screw in to, don,t cut it tall enough and the door wont open.
The whole you have to cut out to fit it and clear the door is a lot bigger than a single din radio, and too wide for a double din, so its something to keep in mind in case you ever want to remove it.

Great fit for budget install

Fit great into a boat that had a similar looking marine mount. Definitely a budget version of a similar product from the same company. Would it of been worth the upgrade to the nicer version? Probably not with the nature of a product like this possibly getting damaged out on a rough lake, will be less to replace it 2x's . Alleycat Electronics would use this again!

Item is a good value

I have not installed it yet but its of good quality. I would recommend this item. I like the fact that it goes up into itself.

Splash cover

Installed in my motorcycle fairing. Good design an all. But the spring seems a little week. The lid will kinda bounce when hitting bumps or stereo crunk up when bass hits. Bump the way it rolls in is cool. Looks good. Worth the price for sure.
