Works fine

Easy to splice and follow. Wire colors were clear. Plastic was clean of burrs and fit correctly. No problems with installation.

Works great with the stock wiring

Got this for my '98 BMW 328is with the HK system and stock amp. Works just as described and was a quick install. I just shortened the wires since there was a little too much between this and the head units wires. Been working great for a month now.

Just Works

Does everything it is supposed to do. Fitting it in my 1995 BMW 318ti was not too bad. I found a place to tuck the harness away to the left side of the head unit.

Easy install

The adapter made installation of my new radio a much easier task. It does make it a little more of a challenge to stuff all the wiring back into the cavity area behind the radio on a '98 bimmer. No cutting of the stock wiring is always a good thing if you can avoid it and this adapter is the trick.

Wires in the harness are loose and cause distortion on bumps

The harness fit well to my deck, but the actual wires in the harness are extremely loose, and when i go over a bump, my music cuts off for just a quick moment, i'm attributing it to the loose wires in the harness. They should be quite fixed in the harness and they're not. I would suggest the company to create a more sturdy version

Does the job, if you really need it.

If you might someday reinstall the factory unit back into your BMW then you should use this. Is your particular car so rare, is your new head unit so expensive that you might reinstall the factory unit?

This is a very large connector and is only one half of the connector. It takes up at least two square inches behind your new head unit. Valuable real estate in such a finite area of space.
Am I saying that you might be better off soldering or crimping the wires together? I am, if the first paragraph doesn't apply to your car.
I used it in my car this time and it cost me much time and effort. I will not be using it in my next install though.

Save your sanity. This is a plug and play after you the connect to your new radio harness.

Good value, but be careful

This harness is nice and it is convenient, however, if you have a stock amp in your system this harness doesnt wire it correctly. You have to connect the antenna wire on this harness to the amp wire on the cd player.

Wires are little loose

Wires are little loose and the did came out of the seat. I had to squish them in to avoid miss connection.

BMW adapter

Works great! nothing like begin able to just wire the radio to the adapter and plug it right into he car! If you are doing a BMW make sure you buy he antenna adapter.

Definitely a must have piece when putting a non OEM radio in a BMW, or any other car for that matter.

Easy to solder and distinguish the correct colours. Wires come pre-cut avoiding the hassle of de-shielding them yourself. Highly recommended.

Works OK but could be better

Vehicle: 2002 BMW 330i
Works OK stock but a bit bulky. I had to get key-hold saw to remove a rear plastic brace to get my new stereo (Pioeneer DEH-P5200HD) to fit. Also, if you're going to enable your steering wheel controls by adding the Axxess ASWC (which works great by the way) then you'll need to relocate the orange pin. It designated for illumination brightness control but most radios will ignore it. Instead you need to move the pin to an adjacent hole in order to pick up the steering wheel control signals (see the pinout in Axxess ASWC instruction sheet). I used pliers to yank the pin out and then put it back in the right hole.

PERFECT!! I remember when you had to trace and test every single wire in your car / cut and label every wire on the new radio then hope you got everything right! Yes I’ve been installing radios since 8 Tracks were replaced by cassette tapes! Therefor I can say with experience, this pigtale is a PERFECT MATCH FOR my application on a 97 328is convertible! No questions on wires or comparability ! Sonic did a great job painting this with my car and radio purchase. They took all the guess work out and replaces it with plug & play ease! Thanks Sonic!!
