my Harness have extra yellow and black wire

hi i needed help maybe you can help me i was changing the radio in my 2005 jeep cherokee i both a harness but it came with 2 yellow wires ( 12V Battery ) and 2 black wires ( Ground ) but my new radio only comes with one yellow and one black so my ? is do i connect just one of the wires n cap the other or do i connect all 3 yellow wires together and do i do the same whit the ground

05 Dodge Dakota

Out of the bag this wouldn't work for my truck. I had to splice into my cigarette lighter to get 12 volt switched power to my radio, which wasn't a big deal. So if you have a 05 Dodge Dakota and don't want to order the $60 harness then this one will work, but you have to find a 12 volt switched power source.

I used a lot of crimp type connections to hook it up to my CD Receivers harness but I would recommend soldering for ease of mind. Gets the job done ad plugged into my cars factory harness flawlessly. Let's you pre-wire the stereo for a quick install. Also, if you ever sell the car, you can keep the new stereo and re-install the original stereo with ease!

Saves your original harnass.

This makes an adapter that fits betwenn your factory harnass and the new radio so you can replace the original radio. It works good but you have to solder or attach the wires another way. Due to the number of wires and the trouble of finding loose connections, I would suggest soldering.

I bought this adapter for my 06 chrysler 300, the adapter connected to the stereo harness as if it was factory made. The problem I had with it was there wasn't a CAN/BUS connection so I had to run a 5v accessory wire so the stereo turned on. After that though the stereo worked as intended. I would recommend this but I would also advise that there is extra work involved.
