A little off, but worked okay.

I used this to install an aftermarket stereo in a Jeep Wrangler and the shape of it is a little bit different than the edge of the factory bezel. It looks alright, but it wasn't as tight of a fit as I'd like. Great price and Sonic ships fast!

You open the plastic bag a various parts fall out. No instructions at all on how to use this thing. Because I had used another brand on another vehicle I was able to figure out how to use this on. I think for the first timer it would be daunting. REALLY, REALLY needs instructions.

It was a perfect fit in a Dakota dash. The color match was good although there is a slight pattern mismatch that you have to be close to notice it.

Works perfect for a 2000 Chrysler 300m

This was included with my stereo I bought (Pioneer DEH-6600BT). The trim is perfect it fits flush in my dash surrounding the stereo, which I had no problem installing. It was cheep (price wise) and made from a good firm plastic that don't feel fragile.

This is just what I needed. I bought an after market stereo, and when I went to install it I was going to have a nice big gap around the face of the radio. Easy but may require a little extra work

A good, easy way to mount a standard DIN chassis in the rounded Chrysler dash port.. Would be better if it came with instructions. You have to figure out whether you need the side panels on your own, based on what came with your stereo unit. All plastic but the structural parts seem to be substantial enough to hold up. We'll see. If you are mounting a heavy unit, I would recommend you also use a custom mounting strap.

Not the greatest fit for my new radio

The main portion of the mounting kit worked great. I was easily able to install my new radio in my Jeep. However, the trim around the face plate is too tight, even though it is specifically designed for the radio I bought.

well considering that this is a necessity when installing an aftermarket stereo in an 05 grand-caravan, you have to have it. but since it's free, i guess you can't expect much, and it does the job.

i don't like that it's all plastic, but it seems that it will hold up good, but it is a hard/brittle plastic so be careful when installing. you have to push the middle tabs down a little when connecting the sides to the face-plate. which you should do before you screw it to the radio.also, be sure to remove all of the brackets that came on the radio. mine (pioneer hvx7700bt) had some small brackets on the side which interfered with the plastic mounting plates. i used the screws that came with the radio, as the ones that came with the kit will strip the threaded holes in the head-unit. plus the screws that came with my pioneer receiver had a wider head, which gave it more grab on the plastic. which is welcome, as I'm still leary of using a plastic bracket to hold an 8lb radio, bouncing around in the dash.

overall i can't complain. the face surround fit perfectly and the beauty ring sits flush and tight. I'm only giving 3 stars because it's plastic, and the screws are not the same threads as the ones in the radio, they're more for tapping into an unthreaded hole which has a tendency to strip if you're not careful.

I used this in my 2006 Dodge Stratus. It works just like all of them, but key point to this review is 2006 Dodge Stratus. The years are a little off, but Sonic Electronix knew exactly what I needed.

Better than the Metra kit

This fit far better than the Metra kit I tried. I'm not particularly fond of the 2 piece bezel, but I would have shoehorned a 2 din deck into a 1.5 din hole if there was any possibility I could have without tons of custom dash work.

Adequate (especially as it was included with the sound system). Just don't try to rush the job -- getting it right is not totally obvious and you want to fiddle around with the parts until you know you've got the best set-up. The one thing missing was a set of machine bolts to attach the stereo to the side panels.

Used this to install a CZ302 deck in my Sebring Convertible.

Easy to remove and install, although the fitting was tight around the edges and they had to be forced in with a rubber mallet. Other than that, perfect!

This was not quite that easy to install, had to trim around the round edges to get the radio and car dash to fit. Other than that it was very nice. Looked factory installed when done.

No gaps or modifications needed

I thought i could just insert the radio into the vehicle but without this holder it would of been near impossible. It also looks great and does give you option on how the face around the head unit will look.

poor quality

Not recommended, flimsy plastic has not held up in the heat from the sun. Trim bezel bows out and leaves a gap along the edge of the trim and the dash panel.

Definetly not recommended for a folding screen radio as it allows the folding panel to drag across it and hangs up the panel and makes the gears sound like they are going to strip out.

Not all the parts included were needed in my install so i just mixed and matched until i found a way for the single din kit fit.

This was a great product for the price I paid, However, it stated that it would fit the car radio I bought at the same time I purchased this product and it did not fit. Most of it did but the most important to me did not. But I had already installed it and didn't want to take it back apart to return it for a different one.

This kit looks nice n slick in my car. Took off the face trim plate from the stereo and used the one from the kit along wit the back end of the face. No need for side though. Screws that were given were crap. So I didnt even use them. Didn't even need to use them but If i did i would of ended up having to buy new longer thicker ones! Overall great easy to install kit!

I bought this product after doing some research on how to install a deck/stereo that you DO NOT need to remove the faceplate and you can still feel the deck is secure. This worked perfectly! I drive a Jeep to TJ, and as anyone else that does knows, there is no such thing as security with a TJ. Which means, stereo install needs to be tamper proof!

This kit allows you to install the deck using the same mounting holes as the factory deck you will be removing.

A thief would literally need to rip your entire dash apart to steal your deck!

Most stereo installs use a sleeve and can be easily removed. This bolts the new deck and keeps it secure.

Relatively Simple Install

The installation was super easy and fit perfectly into the dash. You just have to screw in the sides of the kit into the cd player (or whatever you're installing) then clip the sides into the front bezel and screw it into the car. I would definitely recommend this for anyone looking for a simple solution for a big problem like I had. Was hard to find a site that shipped to Canada and had the product I needed, not to mention trying to find manufacturer specs for which wire to which wire for aftermarket audio. All in all it took me about a week to find everything I needed and get this installed and for a first timer I was actually surprised at how easy this actually was. Thank you for this rather quick and painless installation.

I like most everything about this unit except for the mp3 player....it locks up periodically at the end of a song and you have to shut the unit off and restart it, then move it to the next song...also, it doesn't start at the beginning of the song most times..it begins with maybe the first note of a track but jumps to another song and misses the first couple of notes of that song...I would not recommend this unit if you want to play mp3's.

When I removed the factory deck from my 2004 Chrysler, I was worried I wouldn't be able to install a new deck without some major issues. The factory deck was kind of in between sizes of a single din and double din. And the hole was even bigger. This adapter did the impossible though. Now it's a perfect fit and it looks great. It took a few minutes to figure out how to install all the pieces properly. The directions weren't great. But once I figured it out, I realized it was easy. And it looks professional. And it came for free with new Pioneer deck. Sonic Electronix customer service is also great. I initially forgot to include this in my order. They were extra helpful to make sure I got this adapter asap.

Instructions useless. Looking at the front of the unit, upright: Right & left are reversed and upside down- Destructions do not warn of this. Side screws undersized for unit holes and slip out of the tin with thumb/finger torque. I had to substitute with a more aggressively threaded screw. Once assembled it was a perfect match for my factory finish.

Very well made and looks factory original.

I have used several different brands of installation kits and this one by Scosche is my favorite yet. The kit is well made and installs quickly providing a factory looking finished product. Securely mounts to the dash and the receiver. Great quality!
