This subwoofer can hit pretty hard but it doesn't smash. Running one at 400 watts was all I could do with the amp I could afford at the time but as soon as i upgraded it to 800 watts it was banging for about 5 minutes until it blew. Good bassy sound but not your hard hitting subwoofer. It lasted forever though...
