Don't be intiminated!
This costly little gadget made my life and installation much easier than I ever thought possible. Don't even think about not getting it if you are installing in a newer vehicle. You need the "speed" wire and the "steering wheel control" connector if you want a GPS to work right or control the unit from the steering wheel. This makes it as simple as a white wire connnects to the white wire, and the gray wire connects to the gray wire. Reminds me of an old song about the shin bone connects to the leg bone....LOL. Cut installation time in half and made me look like a brilliant installer. 61 years old and with this, I installed a complete Head Unit with GPS in less than 4 hours. OUTSTANDING.
