Perfect Fit

This kit fit perfect in my 2002 Camaro Z28, which is a 1.5 DIN opening, I installed a 1 DIN Kenwood Excelon receiver, and it looks like a custom fit with factory finish texture and color to the material.

Modifications needed for 1999 Trans Am

The kit looks good but the mounting tabs need to be modified to fit a 1999 Trans Am. You will need to drill holes in the mounting tabs and cut sections off to get it to work.

It blends in very well when everything is put back together. Used with a Kenwood eXcelon KDC-X794.

Make sure it will fit!

I got this install kit for a 99' Pontiac Firebird TransAm and can only say it doesn't fit. The package says it's good for all 93 and up Camaros and Firebirds, but the instructions do not cover 97-2002 Firebirds. I tried every combination of parts that were included and there was absolutely no way to get this to fit.

If it had been the right kit... the build quality was ok. It would likely be adequate, but not exceptional. For its price, it's a fair value.

This does what it says on the tin, it didn't fit so great and took a bit of fabrication to fit well but once in it does the job.

PERFECT FIT!

Used this product for the installation of my new, single DIN, stereo in my 1988 Firebird. Eased the process considerably and the fit and finish are of factory quality. Way happy with this kit!

I installed this on an 84 z28 and it looks great. They matched the look of the factory plastic perfectly and it fits in there real nice. also decently sturdy any not too difficult to install

Perfect fit.

I drive a 1995 Camaro, and this makes my dashboard look much cleaner. There was an old deck in there before with a really poor quality mounting kit from the previous owner, this new mount looks amazing, and fits the vehicle 100%. Drastic improvement, GET THIS if you are installing a deck! It is plastic, so don't be too rough with the screw mounts. Frame is thick plastic and durable though. Nice finish too.

Check length of your headunit

the product itself fit my 92 camaro fine but i had to use my old dash kit because my headunit was too long and would hit the bracket and not allow it to slide all the way in. but the product should cover the little stuff like this so people dont have to waste their time...lucky for me i had my old dash kit which pushes the radio out about 1 1/2 inches further out but overall very nice and simple kit

got a 97' camaro, it looks very professional and fits nicely with after market stereos. was more work to get it in than i thought it would be. have to take off the under part of the dash on both sides as told in the manual, looks very clean and professional, good product.

Doesn't fit quite right

I just installed a stereo in my 2002 Camaro and the mounts just don't quite line up. I ended up going with a different Scosche that I picked up from Walmart and it fit in my car perfectly. Nothing against Scosche, just that this specific model doesn't fit 98-02 Camaro or Firebirds perfectly.

Bad for '91 Camaro.

It is a flush mount design and it made the head unit sit to far back in the hole. Back of head unit would hit an air duct and wouldn't allow it to go back far enough to lock into place. Had to go buy a different one that stuck out about 3/4" of an inch to gain the clearanc in the back that I needed.
