Easiest install ever done

I bought a radio for my silverado from sonic and they threw in this dash kit and a wiring harness for free! Like every dash kit I've ever installed,you have to assemble it to fit to that specific vehicle... But with this kit because I entered my vehicle, the dash kit was already pre-assembled. I unwrapped the kit and installed it, that's it. Awesome company. Will do all my business with these guys! Thanks sonic electronix

The radio functions as advertised. The boothtooth function is a great option for phone calls while driving. I would like to buy another one for a different vehicle, not sure if it is still available. Installation kit fit perfect.

Pocket Too Small

The pocket is way too small. There is barely any room to put anything in side; at most it can fit 2 CD cases. You can't put coins in it either since it has two holes in the back bottom. The storage pocket does not have an edge-to-edge pocket. The pocket is actually a quarter inch from the top and bottom. This severely limits the pocket room.

Installation was confusing, even with my friend who had installed kits before. The kit came with a few plastic adapter brackets; we did not know whether or not to use them, the instructions did not help. In the end, we just added one adapter piece to the back, then used the old holding brackets from the original head unit.

I love it. it fit on my Acura legend. i had to do some customization but everything went well and my dashboard look professional.

mounting bracket

this bracket fits nice and works fine but the stereo would slide out sometimes on me. i know i didnt have it mounted right but yeah whatever. i had it in my 2000 integra ls and it looked good and was an easy install. too bad this and my kenwood radio got stolen when someone broke into my car.

Easy to install, however, easy to be stollen

The item fit the car audio system and my car.
But it is easy to be broken and my audio was unfortunately stolen 3 month after I installed.
If you want to avoid this you might chose another item which you can fix tight with screws, or use audio with detachable front panel and make sure you bring it out when you leave the car.

Inexpensive and as described.

doesn't fit very well

The top gets pushed down so it looks like it is sagging. I did push it in all the way because I even pushed that part through all the way and had to pull it out. I cut off the little tab on the very top center, but it still didn't help. I installed this in my dads Acura Integra, but a few months earlier, I installed a Metra dash kit in my Acura Integra (same generation), and it didn't have that problem. For the 90- 93 Integra, go with Metra. My Metra also has the option to hold an EQ instead of just that obsolete cd case holder, since everyone uses a usb or mp3 player with the aux. I don't know about how it fits in any other cars, so they might fit perfectly. Even though It doesn't look perfect, It is a tight fit so it does hold the deck in perfectly without falling out or even being taken out easily. Good value because it came free with my deck but you can choose Metra also.

Car stereo install kit.

I have replaced several factory stereo systems over the years and find that it is a necessity to get a stereo install kit. Most installs require a filler and trim to make it look like a professional job. I use these install kits on my Acura and Honda vehicles and they work very well and make it look like it is part of the dash.

Sonic Knows Whats Up

I originally got this kit for free with the purchase a JVC KD AR8500 cd player. I actually had this mounting kit and another that I had purchased for my girlfriends Honda. The kit that I used for her car was also applicable for my Acura. At first I thought that sonic had sent me the wrong kit because it didn't list my car on the list of applications, so I tried using the kit that I bought for the gf. When it came down to mounting the cd player I found that the kit I used did not fit, but the kit sonic sent me fit like a charm! Let me just say this: Sonic knows what you need when it comes to these kits! I would never buy from anywhere else and if you do you are down right insane!

The product is functional but not a good fit for the stereo plus the opening is too small for the small compartment. I plan to replace.

This thing makes my deck look sweet! It is nice and slim all around, fit well in the car, just one little tooth wouldn't click in the corner, but you can't tell. Has space for the mp3 player now and its out of sight from the window. I like it.

Scoche install kit 86' Toyota pickup

Did not fit the year. I believe 86' may be a change over. It is not uncommon for Scosche to just lump model years in together in this way.

May fit other years, decently enough, but the quality of this unit (how it snaps together) is sub-standard for what else is out there in the $5-20 range.

Got it free with radio

Worked great. Can't complain. These things are always tricky to install but with a little imagination and coming sense it worked out good.

This is not a bad product, but not a great one either. There are not many options for adapters for the 2004 Honda CR-V, and this may be the best one. However, it seems a little "cheap" looking, but it is liveable. I would prefer not to have the CD pocket, as it is pretty pointless. It fits relatively easily, and probably as best as can be expected on this model car. However, it doesn't feel all that secure or sturdy.

Overall, this is not a perfect product but without many options, you sort of have to make do with it.

Awesome radio unit!

Awesome little unit for the price! Easy to install with free included harness and connections (Sony MEX-BT4100P bundled for me with Scosche HA1563B and Scosche HA02B for my specific car). Definitely worthwhile to get with it for that easy set up. Unit in particular has a lot of good features for the price, main pieces for me being bluetooth and external outputs. One wish would have been to have integrated bluetooth vs a necessary corded microphone, but cant beat that price. Love Sony! Sounds good (currently connected to four sony xplod 6 1/2's) with all features working. Only negative is the sony app, whereas it works fine, though wish it would auto-activate or power up once bluetooth recognizes its connected to the headunit (samsung s3 phone). not a deal breaker though. awesome headunit as a whole!

I had to purchase this product so I could fit my screen into my dash. As the site said it worked out perfectly and i was able to securely add my screen in.

It is a multi-kit so it is not the most durable thing. As long as you are patient and aren't afraid to snap a few tabs off (like the instructions say) for fitment, it looks great in the end and makes the whole dash look factory. It was slightly confusing to figure out at first, but look at the pictures in the instructions and you will figure it out.

car radio Insert

Found the array of plastic pieces a little confusing. Not good instructions as the kit tries to accommodate many types of car radios.
Eventually got it to fit abate with a few broken tabs. Interestingly the item has worked well since installation just a bad feeling about snapping off the tabs.

Absolute Garbage!

I bought this for a 1994 Honda Accord, and it looks okay when all installed, but the kit is absolute garbage. I bought this one because it had a tray for my smokes, and it was cheap.

I think the designer may have read about a Honda Accord in a book one time, or maybe a trusted older male figure used to regale them with tales of such a car, but it's pretty obvious they never actually saw a car like mine. The "brackets", if they can be called such, did not come close to fitting so all that is holding it in is friction, and two screws through a flimsy piece of plastic. I went ahead and used it because my old one was broken and my stereo wasn't secured in at all, but I definitely would not recommend this kit to anyone, especially someone with the same car as I have.

I hate to bring this up, but the product would make it pretty easy to steal my stereo. The flimsy plastic would be easier to break than the heart of a fat maiden.

It was cheap, but that doesn't make it good value. It's crap! Maybe because it's not Scottish. If you caught that reference, you're cool, and we can be friends.

A rip off at half the price. Save your money on this garbage and buy one that is a little better quality. If you are anything like me, you will be completely unsatisfied with this installation kit.

Does not fit 93 Honda Accord

Got this free with radio order. Test fitted and it doesn't quite fit. The bottom fits in the opening, but not the top. Ordered a different brand Package says for a civis. This one worked no problem.
