Single DIN Installation Dash Kit with Pocket for Select 1998-2004 Kia Vehicles
This item made my aftermarket radio/stereo installation very easy. The instructions were easy to follow and the end result was a great install.

Doesn't Fit
The product kinda fits but not really. After putting the entire dash together there was a quarter inch gap in the dash. I mean all the hole locations line up but the part had a huge gap but i guess it serves it's purpose.

fit 2003 Kia optima perfect
This dash kit fit nicely in my Kia. I did however have to drill my own hole one side of the kit. But thats to be expected of aftermarket dash kits. I do wish that there was a metal frame around the entire unit to make it stronger.

Just doesn't quite fit a 2003 Kia Optima
The good thing is that it was free with my purchase of a car stereo. The bad thing is that it just doesn't quite fit. This is not good when you have the car ripped apart and then you can't finish the installation. There are 4 mounting holes and only two match up in the correct position. I suppose you could get by with mounting with 2 screws which is what I did. Then once you put the console pieces back together you have very noticeable gaps around the unit. There's just no way to make this thing work in a 2003 Kia Optima. I've had to take the car to a shop where they put in a different kit.
Perhaps this will work for some cars but not the 2003 Kia Optima.
I called SonicElectronix and informed them that the kit did not fit. They checked and said that I had the right kit.

it did not fit the dash on my 1996 kia sportage. had to modifie it to make it work. very poor fit. it will not fit a 1996 kia sportage!!!!!
