Pretty good, could be made better
I found this product to work well, but I wish it was designed a little stronger. It fit perfect in my 2008 Rio, and made installing a new head unit painless.
Under the radio is a storage cubby, and the top edge of the cubby (along the bottom edge of the radio) is not strong enough to keep from sagging down. This detracts from an otherwise professional appearance. If I was to do it again, I would epoxy a flat piece of steel onto the top of the cubby before installing the product into the dash. It would be hidden inside the dash so the reinforcement wouldn't show. I think it would have been possible for Scosche to make that section of the product a bit thicker or reinforce it so it would not tend to sag.
Also, the radio is held in place decently, but is able to be moved around slightly by pushing on it, and it can wiggle a small amount over bumps. But it is not really that noticeable, and for most people it would not be a problem. Again, it might be better if the product were just a bit more heavy duty.
This product was included free with the purchase of the Eclipse 3414G, and overall I am pleased. Just wish I would have thought to add the reinforcement before installing it. Now I don't really want to take it out again to mess with it. Maybe later.
