I installed this the day I got it, simple, straightforward, easy to use. Just don't lose the little plastic flathead that comes with it for adjust gain levels :)

Better than hoped for

The product performed exactly as stated. It was easy to understand and apply and was cheaper than any thing comparable we could find.

Great product

As with the others I found that the gains/screws are a little delicate, but that's just up to you to not manhandle it during the install. I love the control it gives me and the multiple setup options. Compact in size makes for an easy install. Good LOC at a great price. If you need a LOC, don't hesitate.

Great Product

It does what it is supposed to do. It is a great product except for the case that is a little cheap and that has nothing to strap it or screw it down. I am very satisfied with its performance and would recomend it to anyone.

Broken Already!!

I got this for a low budget system and thought it would be ok but the little plastic adjusting screws have all broken off and now I can not adjust any gains etc...I now have to buy another one and will be getting something of better quality which is what i should of done the 1st time..

I installed the Scoche SLC-4 in my 1995 Audi a6 so I could use an aftermarket (jvc) car stereo. the original bose audio system is a common ground remote amplified system and like most modern head units, the output is amplified at the head, so this device provided the signal step down needed to employ the existing remote amplifiers. The unit is a commercial grade device and the instructions are clear and thorough. Overall the quality of the sound is great with no snaps or pops and plenty of volume for the amplifiers. Its the perfect product for this type of application

Great Product!!

I have a stock stereo, the line outs would not work with 2 other adapters.. just horrible sound quality or virtualy no sound at all. This one worked great right off the bat!

Installed with Monsoon sound system, in a chevy camaro.

Great product

An excellent solution to those not wanting to replace their factory stereo. For my 2001 Prius it would have been an ugly and expensive custom installation. Now I have great speakers and a 4 channel Amp controlled with my factory stereo.

Bought this thing had it hooked up to an aftermarket headunit where the rca broke off worked good on my T2 an my W7 but now i have 4 12s it just makes my amp clip so bad uninstalling today an getting a new head unit it served it purpose for a while now its time to go!!!

Does the trick

This product worked exactly the way I needed it to. I used it to run a sub woofer through my friends stock receiver. I ran the signal from the rear speakers to the inputs on the converter and used rca to go from that to the amp. I am very impressed with this product. I was one of the only things I could find that did that. Money well spent.

Easy product to use:)

I recently wired in a subwoofer by tapping into the wire from my Bose amp. I was told by numerous installers it would be at least $500 to finish a proper install on a subwoofer. This product allowed me to do it on my own for $20 bucks. With a little know how and some determination this product simplified my install...thanks!

Okay, but not the best

I bought this at a local audio shop, took it home and installed it. Worked fine until the plastic screws broke off after trying to adjust gains. Next time i will buy a better quality line output driver.

Adequate

I little more difficult to tune then other, less expensive products, but then again, it is tunable. The gain can be adjusted, but must be done carefully as slight changes affect the volume dramatically. Once it was installed and set up, I didn't have any problems with it and would recommend it to anyone.

Not the One

Bought this to run a OG '77 delco 8 track & a 2011 Sony Xplod deck in ny caprice

Hooked it all up ran RCA thru RCA splitters to the cd & LOC then to amp

Cd player sound fine but 8 track only played OK at Very Low volumes
When turning it up even a lil bit results in excessive distortion
Adjustment of gains gave little help

Sad to say I'm thinking if removing the delco for a 7" monitor or maybe leave it for show

I have bought 2 of these and had no problems at all with the first. The second one gave me problems when trying to secure the high level input wires. The screws would not hold the wires in and I ended up dropping one of the little clips so I soldered the wires in and then taped them over to make sure they didn't pull loose. Other than this it works great and gives you good control to balance out the feed to the amps.

Great Noise Blocker

Purchased this specifically to get rid of the alternator whine in my system. It knocked it out COMPLETELY. Zero whine now even at the lowest volume setting. This unit has 4 transformers inside so it has some weight to it even though it doesn't look like it. Use your own small screw driver. Had no issues with connectors. Very good unit for the money.

Really good

This is a great LOC. It can be used for OEM radio or with an aftermarket radio that you want to tie into the cars OEM amp. I used it for the OEM radio and a Boss 5 channel amp. At first I ran the speaker level inputs to the amp and it was really weak. Then I connected this between the radio and amp. Huge difference. This made the amp come to life. Buy this, don't use the amp's speaker level inputs.

Not that great of a product.

This LOC has too many inconsistencies in the level of control of each channel. For the same price maybe a few dollars more you can get the LOC pro 7 and And get consistency out of the level input adjustment.

Terrific Value

This product is perfect for converting to a modern stereo in vehicles with individually amplified speakers,i.e. Delco-Bose etc. This product has speaker level inputs, and line level outputs!
