Bought this to install my jvc head unit into my 2004 Subaru Impreza WRX and it works great. Simple plug in connector on one side and the premarked wires on the other. All you need to do is connect the wires to the wires from your head unit. They are clearly written and color coded. Definitely recommended to make an install so much easier.

Probably doesn't use all of the wires

It was easy to use and understand. It is very well made. My only quibble is that the radio doesn't operate with the vehicle lights / dimmer. I just didn't see those wires available on this harness.

It does what is expected, all the wires are clearly color code and matched the stereo harness. The plug fit the factory plug perfectly. I have been using it for 6 months w/o a problem. I did solder & shrink-wrap my wires, but butt connectors would work too.

Used it to install Clarion in my Subie 2001 Outback. Install was a pain, but this connector helped a lot.

Does what it does

Connected perfectly into the 2002 Subaru Forester with no problems. Good instructions, and easy to match up with the stereo. Haven't had any issues with this at all.

Exactly what was needed

This connector was available when I purchased a new car stereo and was specific to the car make and model I was installing in. I admit, I gave it to a friend of mine who had done this before to connect and solder it, but it worked (and continues to work) perfectly. Made installation of the stereo much easier. (I did the installation myself.)

Absolute need to do the job right

With this harness the total installation from removal to testing new installed radio took 1hour. All color coding was exact. No guess work.
Pick up a pack of crimp connectors, approx 20 required. No need to cut the cars harness with this kit.
