ok for a free component

I got this for free because I bought another head unit. I have a Toyota Matrix 2008. I am not sure what car this one is designed for, but it cannot fit into my car unless I were to do some modification (just cutting the two stretching pieces). Usually this kind of kit is designed to be compatible for as many cars as possible. I can understand that, but the problem is there is no instruction or menu to tell you what you need to do to fit your car. I struggled for some time and also ask on some forums. Finally it worked, but I do not like the way it worked out.

Worked fine, but the installation instructions stink

This did what I needed it to -- held a single DIN unit in a Double DIN space. But it had multiple tabs/supports designed for other vehicles and the instructions did not indicate which of these I had to remove to make it fit.

Not bad !!

Fairly easy to install. Wish the storage pocket was a little bigger. But it's a good place to slide my cell phone into. Should be a way to anchor it more securely. My dash has this annoying cracky sounds because of the plastic. Not all the time, but I still find it annoying.
