Easy to install
It says SILVER in the description, but the photo is accurate - this headband is coloured black.
Easy to install - do a search on YouTube for tutorials on how to take the HD280 Pro apart. Ear cushions remove easy, then it's just 2 screws per side, a little bit of soldering, and everything goes back together. it's about a 10-15min job.
This is an OEM Sennheiser replacement part. I rated the durability medium because the original factory headband snapped the internal wire while I was adjusting the size - that really shouldn't happen with a routine adjustment.
Overall, very pleased with the price, shipping, and easy of install.

Solved my problem; not too hard to install
My HD280 was having intermittent dropouts and I traced it to a break in the wire somewhere in the headband. I installed the new headband and it solved my problems.
Installation requires you to significantly dismantle the headphones, desolder the earpieces, and put the whole thing back together. It's not too bad but takes some research to get familiar with the process.
The headband is a bit pricey but the alternative is to buy new headphones. My original lasted for about 10 years so I expect the longevity to be fine.
I have found the build quality of the replacement part to be like the original and it has revitalized my headphones.
