incredibly clean sound w/punchy lows / darker mids and crystal clear highs which do not heart your ears over longer listening sessions (my main problem w/grado!) / design and built quality is great ! / wish they offered a shorter cable (HPs are open - so no travel!) for around the house ;) btw - sound is kind of darker - but still analytical - very unforgiving if you listen to a low resolution music!

Review of Sennheiser HD700
I'm an old audiophile. Last system Crown of America ic150,dc150(THD.005), Tapco EQ, DOLBY expan/com, Thorens w/ Shure V15 typIII TO JBL Studio monitors. 21st cen. iTunes with Audyssey enhancer app, FiiO E12 headphone amp, to HD700's(THD.006). This is by far the most correct sound reproduction I've experienced. I was using AKG Quincy Jones 701,s, but Sonic had such a a great price on the HD700,s I thought I'd try them. What a revelation. pros: HD700 have more details than HD650, the sound give me powerful feelings, think the reason is 150 Ohm. More comfortable than HD650.
