Sennheiser PMX 95 On-Ear Headphones
For several years now I have owned and loved my Sennheiser HD 600s but needed to get something lighter and easier to wear while walking and gardening. I tried several headphones, Audio-Technica ATH-M50s, Bose OE2s, Bowers and Wilkins P5, even a set of Sennheiser Momentums. All are outstanding headphones but none allowed me to wear a hat and when you're gardening...better have one.
So I decided to try Behind the Neck headphones and settled on the Sennheiser PMX 95s and I was blown away. Far less expensive than the other over the ear headphones they are easily their equal when it comes to sound and much easier to wear for extended periods of time.
The fact is that none of the others left me feeling like I could live with them should my HD 600s be damaged or lost. These do. They are simply superb.
The only thing that leaves me puzzled is the fact that these headphones get very little press and approbation when in my opinion they well deserve to be listed in the same class as their higher price competitors.
