Very good product
SE846 is comfortable IEM with robust low end and smooth tonality. The freq response is almost ideal for in-ears. The sound quality is good even with smartphone. The isolation is especially good.
For the price, Shure can do a better job in: 1) high freq. extension. The treble balance is very good but the extension does not exceed 15kHz. 2) better cable. The stock cable is too long and too stiff. Although MMCX connector allow custom cable choices, but Shure can definitely do a better job in the cable section.
Can not say much about durability. Hopefully the MMCX connector is robust enough for daily use (the ability to rotate freely is always a concern in terms of durability).
