These wiring adapters were awesome. They plugged directly into the stock stereo connectors on my vehicle. All I had to do was crimp bullet connectors to the bared wire ends, which only took a matter of minutes, which made the stereo installation a snap.

Wire Harness to Connect an Aftermarket Stereo Receiver to Select 1984-2001 Chrysler Vehicles

I used this wiring harness for a 1999 Dodge Durango and it worked well and all the cables were marked. The connectors fit the Sony radio I ordered and fit my 1999 Durango so just plug the connectors into each side and use appropriate wire connectors to join the wires together. There was one wire that was not labeled exactly and I had to make a decision as to which one to use but not too difficult to test and make sure everything worked before final installation.

Used these on a 2000 wrangler. They didn't lock with the oem ones, so I used zip ties to hold them together. Also no neg wire so had to run my own. Other than that great.

Changing out the factory stereo in one's car for an aftermarket stereo, presents some challenging issues. One being the complexity of the factory wiring. These factory loom plugs are wired to so once you attach them to your stereo, it simply plugs back into the cars loom. No cutting factory wires, and makes for quick and easy installation.

These things make installation simple. Take your time, solder and shrink tube the wires and it looks factory. If you don't solder or have access to that stuff, twist wires together and electrical tape...former method preferred of course!!! SIMPLE!!

The quality of the plugs and wires were good - as expected, however, the included wiring diagram was not accurate for my '99 Dodge Caravan. The their defense, there is a note on the wiring diagram that advises the user that the diagram may not be 100% correct. (hence the 2 star rating on under the Features)

I'd look up your particular vehicle's stereo wiring (pin placement and wire color) on the web to double check...

It wiring harness came free when I bought my aftermarket stereo (Pioneer DEH-X6600BT) and I love it. It made the installation process a breeze. I didn't have to hassle with going online to figure out the stock wiring color code. Just plugged in Scosche's harness right into my stock harness and crimped the wires to my aftermarket stereo. This item makes it so almost anyone can install a stereo with minor knowledge of stereo installation.

I've got a 95 dodge dakota. All of the colours matched up except a white/orange wire that I just hooked up to the orange wire. Everything works but the dimmer - and that's because I didn't hook that up (the wire in my truck got messed up). Installing was very easy. Lots of wire slack so you don't get angry trying to install your head unit.

these wires are perfect for people who aren't ready to look up a whole mess of wire diagrams! they even precut the wires to make for about a 5 minute hook up for a unit, no joke! i will continue to shop scosche when money is low but my expectations are not!

ccould be better but i guess you can't expect a harness that fits so many vehicles to fit perfectly . also an in for the plug n play aspect of it i could use another piece . my vehicle a dodge during has a yellow and purple wire the becomes unused for the factory amp and i guess the deck i got has a couple more wires so im unable to use the cd and auxiliary imputed so il have to redo it some point in time . overall it was free with order so i can't complain to much

Got this kit for free with my new stereo from Sonic. It works as it should with my digital media receiver, but with a heavier CD player there is no support to hold the weight in the back.

On the older pre 93 dodge trucks, you need to cut a good size chunk of plastic out of the lower middle area for it to fit properly.

I used this adapter for my 1999 Dodge Durango with a Sony radio. Worked well but you have to be really careful cutting the tabs on the unit. It is used for multiple car models so they have directions showing which tabs to cut off but you have dry fit and make sure you only cut the ones necessary ones off. Pictures were a little confusing which tabs to cut but after taking the time to cut one and dry fit and then cut others it worked fine.

This harness is easy to assemble if you carefully read the included instructions provided for your specific auto. Word of advice- take a few extra minutes and use solder and heat shrink for the connections. If done properly, you will never have a problem in the future with loose connections. Call Sonix if in doubt about wiring- they will gladly help.

Worked out great!

I had originally got an adapter harness from another brand with the audio plugs and hooked them to my head unit but was not satisfied with the sound. I was going to take the audio plugs off and wire them directly and found out how inferior the wiring was to the audio plugs. I had seen the videos from Sonic and decided to order the other harness from them. I hooked up the harness and the sound was 100% better. I am VERY satisfied with the harness, it was as easy to connect as they say in their videos.

Met all expectations

The instructions pamphlet that came with the dash mount kit were very thorough. Following them lead to an effortless installation on my new Kenwood receiver.

I recommend using a cut-off wheel attached to a Dremmel tool to cut off the tabs that are not required.

This came with my stereo purchase with an install kit. It was free and I can't argue with that. Wiring it up was as simple as matching wire colors to the stereos harness. There were a couple of wires that I had to refer to the stereo instructions for, but it couldn't have been simpler. Plugs right into the factory connectors. Makes installation quite easy and much neater than cutting out the factory harness and splicing two dozen wired behind your dash.

Perfect after a little modification

I got this install kit with my purchase of the Power Acoustik PD-931NBT. If you get one of these radios and this kit, you will need to modify it just a tad to allow for the metal cage to lock in properly and fit just rite. Not hard to do, you can just use a small file or pocket knife to mod it as needed. Very easy to install, clean looking, if your going to paint it like I did to match the dash board just take your time, clean it really well use a 90+% alcohol from the drug store after you get it prepared. I used a 200 Grit sand paper to smooth it, then used a 1000 grit to get her really smooth but give the paint something to bind to. Use quality plastic paint and use at least 2 coats of primer, and 3 coats of your paint, after it is totally dry you can then shoot it with 2 coats of clear and buff it out and it looks perfect! Great quality, simple to install, great to paint! I recommend this to anyone doing a Jeep or Dodge install.

Single DIN Installation Dash Kit for Select 1974-up Chrysler, Dodge and Jeep Vehicles

I used this Dash Installation kit for 1999 Dodge Durango and it worked OK the second time around. There are many tabs which protrude from the bezel, some are used and some are not. The ones not used need to be removed. I removed the wrong one, it was my fault for misreading the instructions but they could have been more complete and better illustrated, but again it was my fault I had to buy a second one and do it all over again. Just be careful reading the instructions for your make and model and fit and mark, then refit and make sure you are cutting off the right tabs.

I've got a 95' dodge dakota. I had to cut off most of the tabs to get the thing to fit in place, and there isn't really a way to mount the pioneer DEH-P500UB to the actual mounting brace so I had to buy some metal _|------|_ shaped brackets to hold the deck in place.

I don't think I would have been able to find a mounting brace that would have fit perfectly and been able to mount the deck to the brace, and this one looks clean and is flush against the dash, so I am happy with it.

Also, sonic included this bracket for free with my order of my deck so that was AWESOME!

This install kit was very clean looking however if you have not done a dash install before this kit is simple but keep in mind it is universal for sertain makes and models and you have to be careful as to which tabs you cut off when installing because it is not made for only one vehicle it comes with numerous mounting tabs molded to it its very simple still just line up tbe mounting points but product looks very nice when installed fit perfect very happy

This adapter made my installation look like a factory job (2005 Dodge 2500). Just make sure you pay attention to the "top" side of the front piece when you are installing the sides.

Some installation required. You will need to cut this some to make it fit. The only problem that i had was that i couldn't turn my a/c & heat fan off b/c a tab was in the way, but it was an easy fix.

This dash kit was bundled with a radio we purchased. It doesn't fit our '98 Durango well at all. Some day I'll either replace it or modify it so it fits better. Since it was included with the radio, I can't complain about what we paid for it. If I had to pay for it, I'd pick a different one.

Cheap but works

Used for many different types of vehicles so you have to cut off tabs that may not be for your application. Will need a hacksaw or something to remove hard plastic tabs

Installation kit

This is a very simple, versatile, and inexpensive kit that works. Fits and aligns properly and is secure. Just pay attention to which tabs need to be removed. I have used several if these over the years and the only time they didn't work is when I got carried away removing the wrong tabs.

Does not fit.

This mounting bracket is too large for the factory deck cover to fit over. Luckily I drive an old pos and I don't mind driving around without it on. Spend the extra money, get a more well made model.
