I had 2 JL 10-w3's in a ported box before, and once I tuned it with the JL Splash 2 amp, it was just too much....even for a dubstep head like myself. I picked up this box and a JL 10-w6v2 and have it as a sealed application for now and it drives as expected. Tight, clean bass, but in the next couple days I'll be port tuning it to 35 hz. Can't wait!
Trust me, this and a solid speaker like the HCCA or W6/W7 competition level 10" is really all you need to impress people and satisfy yourself without having a ton of weight added to your vehicle.
