Solid Box

I decided to go with a sealed box for my Pioneer TS-W304R sub, as I listen to a wide variety of music and wanted ensure SQ and accuracy. The box came to me in fine shape, I think it had one little ding in a corner of the carpet, but nothing you'd care about or notice, really. It's solid- 3/4" MDF instead of the thinner stuff some companies try to push on you. While it appeared well sealed, I caulked all interior seams, just in case. I also added some dense poly batting- not polyfill, but the stuff that comes in sheets- to the interior walls to reduce potential unwanted resonances. Lastly, I added the "hook" side of some strong velcro to the floor of my trunk, which sticks well to the carpet the box is covered in. Between the weight of the box, the speaker, and the velcro, it hasn't moved an inch in 6 months of driving. Anyhow, the setup is louder than I expected from a sealed box (because everybody else seems to go with ported), and accurate enough for all kinds of music. No unwanted sounds from the box, and it is holding up well under a lot of loud play. There is only one feature I'd change: it has binding posts on the outside that lead to spade connectors on the inside. Why not have binding posts on the inside, too? Seems like a bright idea, though I don't recall ever having seen it on any other box.

Bang for the buck

Good value for the price, but looking for real performance, get a better box.

Excellent!!

Unbeatable at this price point. Solidly built and looks quite nice. Many of the boxes I have seen at 2 to 3 times this price are not as solidly built and look generic. I'm using this with a Rockford Fosgate P1S412 and it helps deliver tight, clean sounding bass. If I need another box with these specs in the future, this is the box I will choose every time.

Great box

I would definately recommend this box for any vehicle type. I have it in an Isuzu Rodeo and it fits right behind the back seats with the same angle. I did make a triangular port in one of the corners, but it is a very nice box. Great for the price.

It works

Traded it to a friend as soon as it arrived. He said it sounds great for a $20 box. Couldn't tell the difference between that and the $200 he had before.

Very good box

Summary

Pros: cheap, easy to setup, compact height, nice looks.
Cons: Had to adjust the hole size for my sub.

All in all I like this box a lot. I put a 12 inch RE Audio SRX sub into. The installation was easy. Drilled holes and I used T-nuts from Lowe's to install the sub. The only issue was that my 12 inch sub did not quite fit into this hole. I bought a $10 half round file (tool) from Lowe's and made it bigger. This box is that it's very compact. I like the low height. Most midsize and smaller cars should have no problems with it.

Solid box for the cost

Pros: Standard 3/4" MDF construction, all the joints are clean and it's sealed up well. The carpeting is very clean, no creases or wrinkles or anything. The sloped back is good for butting up against the rear seats in my hatchback.

Cons: The terminal post assembly on mine was a little crappy. Replaced the amp fuse before I realized it was the terminal. They're loose and wobble, which causes it to cut in and out. But to be honest, it's an easy fix.

The box is definitely worth the $37 it's going for now, but not quite the $60 list price.

Great Box

Well Built box and for the price can't go wrong. Buy it and you won't regret it. Just make sure it matches up with you sub.

Great box

I bought this box to replace the .6cf truck box I was using in my car, And I must say this box made a huge difference with my 12 inch Kicker Comp. Originally I thought the sub was weak, But now I see it was the box holding it back. I highly recommend this box.

Lighter then expected

I guess for the price you can't go wrong. I thought the box would be more heavy duty. I don't think the entire box is 3/4" MDF, just the front where you mount the sub. The rest is probably 5/8". I'm sure it will work just fine though. The only complaint is that it took two weeks to get the box delivered.

Sonic boxes are the best!

I ran 2 of these boxes behind my seats in my ext. Cab truck and i cant think of one bad thing to say about them! I also just bought 2 15" boxes of the same same type from here and i was just amazed all over again! Take this review from someone who has purchased 4 of the sonic boxes from here now. You cant beat the deal you get on these things!!! they are the cheapest boxes you will find and all of my are flawless! the carpet is outstanding, terminals are great, and they are completely sealed on the inside and out. Either build your own boxes or buy Sonic boxes. There is no in between!

Just Right...

Bought this for the price and expected to widen the opening for my sub but it slipped right in and it is a very clean and sturdy box, connectors are plastic and are a little, weird, but they work and thats all that matters. Good buy! For 20 bucks you cant go wrong! You can't even buy a sheet of MDF for that!

Well Built

I bought this subwoofer box for a single voice coil subwoofer.
The box is really well built and does a good job. The subwoofer fits
perfectly in the box and I would definately recommen buying it.
