Substandard Quality

I bought this enclosure and was disappointed. My 1500w system with two 12" subs kick so hard that the walls of the enclosure vibrate as if they are going to come out of its joints. It results in a loud vibration noise. Would not purchase again.

Solid

This box is very solid. The construction is great however the terminals are just okay. I had to repair one side before using them but it was an easy fix. Terminals work fine.

nice

box is ok. hits way lower and deeper than a sealed box. you can actually feel more air being pushed from the back of the car. could be thicker though.

Fast shipping

Very fast shipping, makes your subs sound lots better than a sealed box. Only problem was the terminals, but i fixed that and wired it. Very nice product!

Not as advertised

The construction is ok, but it looks like they used a cheaper MDF than usual. Also, be advised that the box volume is not as advertised. Actual internal volume (per enclosure) is 1.3 cu-ft. Port dimensions are 12" * 25" * 1.5", and with the volume this works out to a tuning of about 36 - 37 Hz when the sub is installed. This is not optimal for my Type-R subs, but still works. I would have probably went with a larger enclosure if I knew ahead of time.

this box is great

I have this 2 of these one with fosgate p2's and the other wither kicker comp cvr's and they both pound. This is easily the best box i have ever owned

not the best

This box plays the notes amazingly. From high to lows, it will slap you in the face and keep coming 'til you can't take it. But like the guy before me, the walls flex as if they are goin' to blow. I have 2 Kicker CVR's in this, and the first week was great. Then, all of a sudden, I heard a vibration. So I popped my trunk, and found a line of saw dust on my trunk floor behind the sub box. Looks like the back wall was literally blowing out and creating dust where the nails are. So, I had to screw a bunch to stop the rattle, but it still bounces, and isn't very sturdy like the other walls. Very flimsy. Not too happy. Would not purchase again.

very pleased.

The only cons about this is the terminals are plastic and can become loose. This however has not effected the sound quility. This box is very heavy duty and sounds outstanding. It matches my interior and was impressed with the craftmanship. It smelled freshly crafted after opening the box!! love it

This box I knew was going to be big. but I didn't think this big, it barely fit into my trunk but thankfully it did. I put polyfill on the walls inside and it is overall a great box, very sturdy strong walls unlike the previous comments, the box looks great and my two 12'' infinities sound beautiful in it thank you sonic.

Loud!

This box hits hard and fits my 2 12" kenwood performance subs well. I'm running a 1800w kenwood 9105D amp (900rms @ 2 ohm) to the 2 subs (400rms each). Shakes the entire car, even with sound deadener that is literally on every inch of the trunk and most of the interior. Unfortunately, the 2 terminals are poorly designed for this box I think, I had trouble with them right away, the subs shook the nuts off of the bolt holding the wire almost immediately, so if you notice any problems w/ power, check there first. Otherwise this is a great buy.

Excellent Box for Pioneer Premier Champion Pro Series

I bought this box, and I was skeptical on how they would sound with my brand new 12" Pioneer Premier Champion Pro Series subs (TS-W3002D2), and let me tell you thing things slammmm! The lows are amazing and the highs are alright. I'd say if you're looking for that deep bass with these speakers, this is the box to use. The highs don't hit extremely loud, but you can still hear them pretty well. I was looking for deep bass anyways. Talk about severe trunk rattle. Spend the $80 on this box, it'll be worth it, especially with those subs.

this box is awesome

I bought this box for a Kenwood system and am extremely impressed. It was not as big as you would think so it will fit in your trunk. For the price you can't beat it for a custom box. Well worth the price and then some if you want the best from a system go with this box or any profesionally ported box the only con is the terminals the plastic nuts make me nervouse and they would be easy to lose. SonicElectronix got you covered for sure if you don't know what your doing ask them for what you think you want it to sound like and they will get you squared away. A huge thanks goes out to SonicElectronix. They know how to put a system together that will be compatible for you.

great box! with really good sound! very sturdy.. the only con i could think of is the wire post could be a lil better made kinda flimsy and break easly, but all in all very much worth the cost!!

Good box

Awesome only thing that was bad was when i got it the box was slightly dented on ther corner and some of the letters on the box didnt have paint but overall great box.

Sonic Sub Box

The box is great! The holes for the subs were'nt big enough for my 12's but sandpaper fixed that. Overall great quality box!!! Thanks Sonic!

this is a very well built box. I've got 2 Hifonics HF12S4's in them and they sound really good now that they're broken in. I've put some dynamat on the MDF and some small polyfill in the corners. The dual slot vent design works really good.

It took approximately about 40 minutes to extract all of the packing peanuts from the box because Sonicelectronix practically filled the sub cavity and the vented slots with packing peanuts!

Terrible Quality Box!

The box wasn't even glued together on some parts...
The wood was some of the lowest quality wood, it compared to particle board.

Had to get a new box after 3 weeks of use because the walls vibrated so much and it sounded terrible.

You get what you pay for with this box.

Good Box overall

I recommend this box. It is of good qaulity and craftsman ship. Only cons are the connectors on the box and it arrived at my door with a minor crack from shipping.

sonic box

Great box, only thing is the carpet on it comes off after having it for a while other then that it gets the job done and sounds great.

Heavy duty

This box is clearly not going to break. It weighs close to 50 lbs and is nice and sturdy. Only thing I'd recommend is stronger terminals installed on the sides, beyond that it's a nice product

I have a 2008 Scion XB and went from 2 10" kicker comps to 2 12" Alpine Type-R's and this box was perfect, high quality for sound and perfect for holding subs. I would highly recommend this box for anyone looking for a great deal on a box. One thing to be weary of is when the box is shipped nothing is used to cover the holes or the port so shipping popcorn gets inside the box and ports, use a shop vac to get it all out and you're good to go. Shipping was also quite fast, ordered the product on a Friday, shipped late Monday, and received it that Friday. Next day I installed everything.

This box is amazing

I had this box with two m.a audio 300 w rms each pushed by a 300 watt rms monoblock txi5006 from hifonics and the sound was amazing it was realy loud. my girlfriend tell me she can heard me coming almost 5 min before i arrive, it maybe less but it tell something about the spl that this box can produce with little stuff.

when i got this box i pulled it out of the cardboard and i was shocked at how good it looked. right now i have 2 PW3-12H in this box and a BOSS BL3KD Class D MonoBlock Amp. and all i got to say.

great box for the price

i bought this box for my alpine type x because no other dual twelve box would fit in my integra, other then customs. so i bought it and it made my sub hit hard really hard so i do recommend this box for anyone. the only downfall is that the speaker terminal is on opposite side but if you run two amp then thats no problem..

This box makes my subs get soooo low!!

I bought this box for my new Kicker CVRs (which i purchased from here also). I never thought that the subwoofers would get this low, but ported boxes are amazing! I can't believe it is this cheap for a box that is perfectly made. I love this box and don't think there would be anything better for me. Best box i have ever owned, no doubt about it.

More Than I Expected

I bought this for my son on his 16th birthday... He was greatly surprised it fit perfectly behind the seats of his SL 500. The workmanship on this box is great and I would purchase this again.

beginner box

im running 1200 true watts to 2 alpine type R's the power from my subs rattled the walls loose and made a terrible noise...if you are running 500-800 watts this would be an excellent box, but its not built strong enough to handle more power than that.

Disappointed

I played this box for about a week when all the sudden i herd a very loud vibration.I popped the trunk and tryed to figure out what was wrong. I ended up pushing down on the box and the vibration quit. The back part of the box had been blown out of place. I cant even play the speakers anymore very disappointed. I would not recomend this box to anyone.

Its good, but didnt last me to long sadly

When I got the box it was completely filled with packing peanuts, and it was quite a job getting them all out at first. I did see some spots where the wood glue was coming off and peeling also.

So far it has sounded fairly well. Just today the top wood has came loose. Either the wood glue couldn't hold up or something else. So the wood rattles at high volumes.

As alot of people have mentioned, they had problems with their terminal cups on them, being broken or something. Mine came perfectly fine, not broken and they work well.

I am using 12 gauge speaker wiring, and running 2 RE Audio 12d2 (no longer sold on sonic electronix for some reason). They are extremely loud and is the reason why i think my enclosure went so fast. I have had it less then a month.

All-in-all, its great for the price for what you get. I will soon be buying a replacement for this box with a custom enclosure with a bit more durability.

Better than expected.

Put this box in my Durango and it is LOUD. I'm running 2 Boston Acoustics G112-4 on 400W RMS. Its like the box was made for those speakers. I expected the box to be nice for the price but it competes with some custom boxes Ive had in the past. If this box matches the specs for your subs, don't hesitate.

Excellentay

This is a great box simple and straight to the point. in stores this box is easily $100.00 more for the same quality. I highly recommend this ported subwoofer box for any sound system.It would be a great addition.

Perfect and most universal

Only box on here to fit a Nissan Frontier extended cab and actually pretty well built.
