very good, one major flaw.

Performance is great for the bucks, decent clean power, FM is good. EQ options are great - the ability to customize each EQ preset needs to be brought back to the 7 band models, I have an older Sony with this feature that I'd like to replace. USB is very handy, but works only with folders, new models are the same. The serious and for me fatal flaw: the display. My car mounts the stereo higher in the dash and tilted back a little, the display is totally unreadable in any daylight condition unless you move yourself about 1 foot over to the middle of the car. Completely unusable and I returned this unit because of this. Any low end non color display Sony unit has the exact same display problem, so beware. 3 stars for the crappy display, otherwise would have been 5.

great product

I purchased 1 and liked it soo much I ordered 2 more. Good power and clean sound. Volume control is not touchy/peaky. You don't have to adjust the tone controls for different volume levels. Remote is easy to use and functional. I love the front USB for my iPod. Of course the price was right, and shipping was the quickest of any I have ever used. Thank You Sonic! I know I must sound like this guy can't be real, but Sonic has impressed me so much I want to buy things from them when I don't need anything.

Good deal on a great deck

I bought one for my wife's car, then I bought another one for my truck and yet another one for my motorhome. Good sound quality, great features. Interfaces with my iPhone or I can load a USB jump drive up with music and play it. I never even keep CDs in the car anymore. I can also use the line-in jack to stream Pandora on my iPhone. The buttons are kind of small, but it's a good compromise for the features. I own 3 of them, that ought to tell you how much I like them.

The best CD player with USB capability

I bought this CD player for its USB (flash drive) plug-in. I use it everyday. I have been extremely pleased with how well it functions and can predict that if anyone else is looking for a CD player with iPod functionality (same USB port), they'll be just as happy as me. I want to mention only one detail for the use of USB drives with the CD player. Large flash drives (I have a 640 GB external hard drive that I use) have to be formatted in FAT, not NTFS. That is easily done, and after you put your music onto the drive, you are on your way to listening to any song you own on the road just by plugging in.

Awsome sound!

Love the blue lights on this unit! Sony has the best signal to noise ratio out there and the difference in sound quality is amazing. I installed this unit in our 03 Highlander pumped up by an older 50W RMS per channel amp I thought might be going bad. Wow ,I was sooo wrong! This is the best sounding set-up we've had in this car yet!

Pretty good for the price.

I bought this for my mother for Christmas and she loves it. It actually makes here factory speakers sound pretty good. Over all a great head-unit for someone who is looking to upgrade their factory radio.

Excellent low cost receiver. One of the few that supports my Sansa Clip through the USB port. Other makes won't. good choice if you don't own a an Ipod.

Great Product

This product got to me fast, along with all my other items from Sonic Electronix.
The CD Player is great. I do not own an Ipod, but I did experiment with one, and I can say that it can control it through the USB port.
Lately, I haven't even listened to a CD, I just plug my different USB drives in for the desired music (each is 4gb). Pretty soon I will try it with a bigger USB drive.
It also controls my subs perfectly without having to change the amount of bass in the rest of my speakers. My favorite part of this player would probably be that it has a high and low pass filter for the car speakers, so that I can cut out most the bass in them and let my subs to the bass work.

Works great w/iPhone

No problems. Easy to install and works fine w/iPhone. Good value. Charges iPhone as well. Also, I can listen to Pandora (or any other sound output) from the iPhone.
