good deal

I have it for about a month and sounds great. I use it for my SPL car and it makes it hit harder. It was at 143.7db with the old radio now with the new Sony it went up to 146.4 on the meter

Excellent Radio

This radio is excellent, both in sound and durability. Trust me anyone writing reviews that this radio is not for a hard hitting system or has interface issues, either does not know how to set up their sound stage or is not very technology savvy. I installed this radio on my factory brackets with an OEM DIN pocket (99 Eclipse GSX) and it looks great, everything sits flush and the unit works remarkable, excellent sound quality. It bothers me that elitist in car audio shun Sony, I decided to give them a full out try with their head unit and speakers, and it definitely holds it's own against the snobby audio specialists we have around here.

Pretty fancy, great features, but one fault, and not my type of sound

The iPod functions are perfect, and all the audio setup functions are all you need. It does have a fault where if you change the face angle (it's motorised and can have the angle set to face up more, so you can see it better) the display cuts in and out while you're driving. Like a loose connection, but only if you angle the face up. Doubt it's just my unit, looking at how it connects, I bet they all do it! But nevermind, it's fine in the flat position. But anyway, turns out Sony head unit sound, although it's clear, is too sharp for my liking, or my system. Up loud for long and you just want to turn it back down, it's like its too bright, and hurts my head after not long.. and no amount of adjusting seems to work. You can swap in a Pioneer head unit, and the problems instantly gone. I'm using all new Sony speakers. Found a Sony head unit to have that issue years ago, but bought another one thinking it wouldn't still be like that now... oh well, just don't listen to it too loud in the car, but would never put it in my boat where it's party volumes most the time (Pioneer in there).

Works well and is very functional

Pushes sound and clarity very well. Has customizable features that make it unique for each owner and does well on just about any setup for any car, whether its just a plain car stereo or stereo pushing 1500 watts RMS.

excellent radio, love the usb port for auxillary music

i would highly recommend this radio, hi tech but easy to learn. love the many features, including the graphics.

I really like this CD player but its just not built for a hard hitting system. and I say that because I have two Rockford T2 12s and a 5500 Class d amp pushing them and the face on this cd player loses connection every time the subs hit and its getting worse other than that its a good deal

Great Unit. Rear USB and Rear aux in make this a great control center for our Cruiser.

Worth every Cent

The stereo is great, Sound is great and the ability of connecting the Ipod gives that extra that makes it Worth it. Easy to work with the settings and the remote is easy to handle as well. It's worth every single cent spent on it. Sony is the best.

The stereo is awesome...the install kit, not so much.

Okay first off this stereo is AWESOME!!! Only had it in for three hours and I am so impressed that I need to go and tell it on the mountain. The faceplace is a little loose when using the nob like others have mentioned but I could not get the frame on yet as I need to mod it. That being said the free install kit included was didn't seem correct for my vehicle. No thanks, I went with a Metra part. This is still a good deal without it though.

Hassle Free Quality

Very good head unit. Easy to navigate functions. Super easy one touch button to menu for browsing ipod or flash card music and play lists. Many options to fine tune a simple four speaker system to more complex bass/tweeter and subwoofer set ups. Headphone aux input perfect to add sat units if you don't want to use optional xm add on. This is just one well made unit. Sound quality is awesome.

This stereo was in perfect condition and it was worth every cent.

Sony CDX-GT930UI

If I could change anything about this unit, it would be the rotary/ joystick controller. It's a little difficult to operate accurately, and adjusting the EQ while driving is a bit difficult. But it sounds great!

nice buy ehh...

I had the old 100 dollar version a while back...and wanted a upgrade for my new car...so I bought the best sony deck they made...its defiantly the most intricate...the actual interface is slightly confusing with all adjustments made with the knob....if you don't use the remote is quite difficult to change anything....and half the time your just trying to get back to the previopus menu because you messed something up....ya its loud...ya it works...but id be happier with a not-so-nice one...
