this is a very nice unit with good features, easy to use. Very good value and low price. I would recommend.

Well worth the price

I purchased the Sony CDX-M30 to replace another Sony radio on my boat. The installation and wiring followed the old unit and, in my case, was done in about 10 minutes! The scrolling information is visible from my viewing angle as the previous Sony wasn't. There are not too many bells and whistles, but for listening to a CD or music while out on the water, this unit fills the bill perfectly.

I would recomment this product.

Very good

I bought this receiver for my sail boat /catermeran I have outside speakers that needed clear and powerful output. I am happy with the performance as it does both.

Great Stereo

I used this on my boat and I am getting another!
I had 6 speakers attached and no power problems.
Mounting was a breeze. I love the options for electric light colors and anti-theft options.

Terrible quality

This head unit has been a big mistake of a purchase. After 4 years with my old Kenwood working just fine I wanted an auxiliary input. The Sony has come to a fast death in one season on the lake. Keep in mind I dry stack my boat and take the face plate off every use. The controls started periodically working within 2 months and it completely stopped working after 5 months. I used it maybe twice a week.

great value

I currently have the CDX-M30 on a 05 FLHT, It works GREAT. The radio has more than enough power with the factory speakers. It plays CD-Rs, MP3s about anything you put in it. It is very easy to setup and operate. I also purchased the small remote control. It was easy to mount on the handlebar and works great. Would I buy this radio again? You bet i would, in a heart beat.

Great Unit for our boat.

I bought this based on other reviews for our boat for my husbands birthday. This is a very nice radio for the money and our kids especially liked the mp3 jack. It did not take long to install. We have been very happy with the choice.

Nice Product

I bought the Sony CDX-M30 to replace the Sony radio that was factory installed in my boat. Works great!! I bought this model because it will work in conjunction with my Sony wired remotes. I would recommend this product.

Great sound

Bought for my boat to replace an old unit. Wow is all I can say about the difference. Very powerful and the aux input so I can plug in my iPod, always a plus.

Sony CDX-M30

I replaced another Sony head unit with the CDX-M30 and the controls and functions are much more straight forward and easier to use, sound is clear and plenty of power from the unit, fully water-proof for a marine application. I would highly recommend this unit for someone who is challenged with trying to remember from season to season controls on one of the earlier models of head unit's, this one is straight forward and simplistic yet has all the features one wants and very stylish.

Excellent value

I like the Sony products in relation to the marine application. I have the same unit on my boat with four of the remote commanders for easy access anywhere on the boat.
I bought another Sony for my hot tub so I could tie in a remote commander, again for the ease of access.

Sony CDX-M30 AM/FM/CD

I purchased the radio to replace an older Sony model in my boat.
I was very happy that it was a drop-in replacement and even worked with the older wired remote control.
My only disappointment is that when I turn off the battery for short term storage I loose all the preset stations. Turning off the key does not reset the preset stations but disconnecting the battery does

Ordered three of these for my customers boats and one for my own. All were happy including myself. have this connected to 4500 watt system and souns great.
