Great value

I bought this for my son, for when he goes to visit his mom in Texas. I have the Bose right now, though I dont prefer them over my previous ones, the Sennheiser PXC 450 (which are the best Ive ever used), but I fly 2-3 times per month for work. My son usually visits with his mom 2-3 times per year. I usually dont leave reviews on products, primarily because im busy and forget to, but I was looking at a pair of headphones for my daughter and happened to see these again, and the review someone had left on them. I want to start off by saying I have used these, I was the one that set them up for my boy. They are VERY lightweight, and have very soft, and comfortable earpads. The headband is adjustable, so they can expand, or get smaller, and luckily enough the smallest setting fits my son perfectly. My only complaint on these would be the lack of support, or maybe headband padding would be the proper terminology for this reference. I suppose if my hair was spiked up, or if I had any hair to speak of on top of my head then those little strands may provide a little more padding. Seeing that I haven't had much hair to speak of for the last 10 or so years, I dont know how the headband fits in that scenario. I cant imagine my money going any further than this. They are light, comfortable, and THEY ARE SONY! that is the price that all those off brands cost. I cant imagine anyone who would complain about the performance of a cheaper Noise Cancelling headphone. I spent a little over $300, and they certainly sound like it too! But I would ALWAYS suggest that potential buyers ALWAYS look at the percentage of noise cancellation. The difference between 90 and 98-99% is a VERY big difference. These do a great job, and they are perfect for a budget friendly pair of headphones that will help cancel out a good amount of noise. Don't let uneducated people bash a product that they no nothing about, and make sure you do your research. It cracks me up reading some of these peoples reviews when they talk about it not cancelling out everything, and then saying they certainly don't meet their expectations. I wonder, what did you expect? Thats what you pay for 2 Happy meals at McDonalds!!! HAHA! Good value, price is right! But buyers beware, these headphones will not go to work for you, and clean the house, or do the dishes Hahaha!

Sony noise cancelling headphones

I bought these for my son- he likes them but says the noise cancelling isn't very good.

Sony MDR-NC8/BLK - There Is No Noise Cancelling

This product is marketed as an active noise cancelling headphone. But noise cancelling is insufficient compared to other noise cancelling headphones. So, I regret to buy this headphone. It is waste of money.

You can use this headphone just like an ordinary headphone. But it is not a noise cancelling headphone.

Nice product

These headphones are light weight and nice for walking. I tried wearing them while cutting the lawn but too much noise. Great product for all the other things I do.
