Very great value for such a complete package. Bought this model for the bluetooth phone option and phone quality is really good; clear for both parties in a call. Sound quality is good, with very deep EQ settings. Radio quality is lacking, but with all these connection options, I wouldn't say I miss it.

Very technologically advanced.
Many connection options; stream via Bluetooth, AUX Cable, USB Cable/drive, Bluetooth Pandora, etc.
Bluetooth and NFC works well.
Great value for a very complete package.
Phone quality is very good - clear for both parties in a call.

Cons
Limited display options; cannot show current time and track title together.
Does not continuously auto scroll current title if track name is too long; will auto scroll it once, and then display the first few characters of the song title.
Confusing buttons layout; no dedicated Play/Pause button, Stop, etc.
Radio sound quality is worse than stock radio (or this has much better sound quality and shows the poor non-HD radio sound?)

Excellent Buy

This was by far one of the best Bluetooth ready stereos that I have seen and they have the best deal on it by far. Not only was I able to get the radio that I needed with all the features that I was looking for and many more, but they took the extra effort to make sure that I received all the necessary accessories in order to make my install quick and painless. I'm still trying to figure out all the great features that this deck has and would highly recommend this stereo and Sonic Electronix to anyone as the best place to find what you're looking for.

Good Purchase for the Price

This is a great "basic aftermarket stereo set-up" head unit. For Bluetooth, aux, and usb you can't beat this price. Installed in my wife's vehicle, it looks good with its fo-carbon fiber trim and selectable color display. It powers four Pioneer 2-way speakers well and clear. There are a lot of features to play around with in the menu also. I gave it four stars because the 12 hour clock goes from 11:00 to 0:00. (ex. 12:25 will display as 0:25, but will return to 1:00 on the hour.)

Nice Sony

Bought this to replace cassette player in my 15 yr old motorhome. Installation was easy. Wiring diagram was not hard to follow and the Bluetooth was great. Added new Boss speakers and the whole system sounds great plus the cost was very reasonable.

I bought this 2 months ago and im so happy with this product, Incredible deal. Its got all the
features, you could want, and with sonys android app, 'app remote' you can use virtually any app via bluetooth. The nfc pairing is awesome, probably why I chose it over other similar stereos as well as the price. It takes a little bit to figure it everything out, but thats pretty normal considering all the features and settings it has in its single-din size. The audio quality is great as well as the subwoofer sound quality. I was a bit worried about the 2volt preamp output not 5v since its a bit controversial whether more volts give you better sound quality, but my sub sounds great. If I had any real complaint it would be the regular blue isnt quite as pure blue as my amps lit up logo and with sonys android app cuz you cant have a preset source to automatically start when you connect but you dont have to use that and they may update app again.

Would definately recommended this, theres not much out there with this many features, honestly id prolly prefer this headunit even if I had more money to spend. If you have a nfc capable smartphone take advantage of it, its awesome, if not this is still an excellent headunit, and im always impressed with sonics great service fast shipping, and can generally find promo codes.

Fantastic head unit

I have owned this for about 2 months. The Blue tooth mic is crisp and clean for calls. I also love using the voice commands.

Most of my play time so far has been BT Pandora. Music is always clean and very impressive. I am in the process of installing two sets of 6.5 components in each door as well as a Sundown Audio Zv4 18.

I would recommend this to everyone.

Great Radio

The sound quality is great as you would expect from Sony. The call quality is amazing especially if you mount the microphone well. On top of it all the app control is really cool and makes the radio like a touch screen but a really good touch screen.

GREAT FOR THE MONEY!!

WOW for the price and what you get is incredible.I love the remote app, its like having a very good touchscreen and it works very well but still buggy with some features. I personally do not use the remote app bc the voice control app isn't as functional as s-voice on my note 4. The blue-tooth mic is OK. clear on the other end but said i was slightly raspy. Probably because of my car is straight piped haha. takes a slight learning curve but overall very easy to use.

Pretty!

First of all, this company is AMAZING! I will never shop anywhere else. No sales tax for this product and shipping was free. It arrived the very day it said it would and the installation kit was perfect!
I got this stereo for my husband for Christmas. He does NOT work on cars at all and was able to install this himself with no problem! The colors change on the face consistantly and they are SO PRETTY! We love this stereo and it's just what we wanted.
As a girl, this is pretty much all I can say about this product. Nothing too technical - Just that it sounds great, it's everything I wanted and it is super pretty!

Good Unit On A Budget

I personally have had a great experience with this unit in the past month that I've had it. Considering this is my first unit ever purchasing and installing, it was an all around experience. It did take some time to figure out how to navigate the settings and figure out what they actually did, but it was not very hard once referencing the owners manual. The backlight color is pretty cool and there are many to choose from. The one thing that I did notice was that you need to select a color scheme for the color to react to the sound, which took a little while to figure out. The Bluetooth works great, no issues there. The call quality is great, people usually do not even realize that I'm in the car since the microphone is pretty good with noise reduction. The one issue that I have is not really an issue with the unit, but with the compatibility with the app that you can download to control your unit. Sometimes when opening the app something happens where you are unable to utilize all of your options for playback.

Overall I really like this piece of equipment and I use it daily. It's awesome and sounds great!

best deck for the price

If you are looking for a solid great sound with ease and great price look no further. This Sony deck is by far the nicest and most cost-effective deck you could purchase. I highly recommend comparing it to others of greater cost. Do yourself a favor and just give his one a try you won't regret it.

Nice radio

Just what Santa Ordered

Everything came that was requested and other than some slight concerns over splicing the two harness pieces together to properly map the speaker configurations, the installation went well (aside from an issue with the Honda trim and their instructions for face panel removal). The Bluetooth works great and our son is delighted with the new radio.

Great Value, Great Product

Bought this unit to replace an old Pioneer stereo on my 1992 F150 and couldn't be happier. Installation was easy and sounds great. Bluetooth function works flawlessly with my HTC One. Streaming music, making and receiving calls all works perfect. Dimmer has only 2 settings on or off and a bit brighter than dashboard, light color is blue. I haven't checked all the different settings on the audio section waiting to buy and install amplifier. When first installed I had no sound streaming Pandora but my mistake was I lower the volume on the phone. Not disappointed !

Well took me some time to figure it out but after i did boy what a TOY I have factory BOSE system and Also i have 2 12" Subs in the trunk and 1000w amp after i installed everything it sounds so awesome and also PANDORA is my favorite I would recommend it to every one.

Not exactly as expected

I have bought a Sony MEX-BT3900 before and I like the sound quality from Sony. However, the quality of this Sony product is not as I expected. There are two main features mentioned in the user manual but don't exist in the actual unit, Rear bass enhancer and Sub-woofer direct. The Loudness must be set to ON to get a better bass effect in my car (without a sub-woofer. )

Excellent. Ease of operation Especially when answering a call. Built in Mic on previous model was great and now the new model comes with a remote mic also. Sound quality great. Hands free phone quality excellent both in vehicle and on callers end. Installation is easy. 1st one went in 95 Jeep Grand with factory amp, 2nd one in 56 Chevy with Sony XM-ZR704 amp. On time shipping, Customer service at Sonic was great.

SONY MEX-BT3000P

Had thus hu for about a month before I upgraded to the DSX-S310BTX. Three Js nothing wrong with model but I just really wanted the tune tray and the 4v output. While I had this hu it really did surprise me on the sq!! The eq was decent and the BT was pretty good. Would recommend this to those who have a budget but also would like BT and a all round solid hu. Don't think it gets much better for the price!!

Just about perfect.

This thing is feature packed and very affordable.

Bluetooth music is so much easier than using a cable. I don't think I can ever go back! You can also use the USB to charge your device while using BT. Connection time is pretty quick every time it starts up.

Great product and price point

Powerful design. I am driving two 3-way enclosed pioneer speakers and it rocks them. I was going to run an amp and drive a 150 rms watt 8" sub in a sealed box. But, I tried to wire it straight to the head unit just to see and WAS IMPRESSED! I will not be running the amp to drive the 8", just the head unit.

When I bought it the salesman told me it was a very basic bluetooth radio i think it is anything but basic it looks great sounds great couldn't be happier

I must be getting old

I typically consider myself very tech savvy. I love new devices and exploring the functionality. This Sony however leaves me scratching my head and wondering if I'm just getting old. For starters this unit is not very intuitive. You MUST have the manual handy for many functions. So many buttons are multi tasked that its difficult to remember what does what. Very frustrating. Sound quality is average (not great but not poor). Some functions such as Caution alarm cannot be turned off (annoying). The Sony App remote (major reason I purchased this unit) is a half baked app that is very limited and weak. If I had to do it again I would probably go with Kenwood.

Product is awesome but the redio has lot of noise

I bought this from Sonic and product arrived on time, it was in good condition. The product is good with all the features but my radio startrd giving up lot of noise, at one point radio is unaudible.

Great Features!!

Love this radio.. does everything through my phone, even lets me know when i get a text message. The bluetooth is clear even though the mic is small which was very surprising.

I've really been surprised with this Sony stereo. The sound is excellent, the bluetooth works perfect and razor sharp. Pandora is the maximum. In the stereo screen displays the charge level of the iPhone and sign it.

Excellent car stedeo system! The bluetooth always connnect automatically. Only one thing is bothering me , I don't use Pandora, but there are 3 things about the Pandora and I have to skip on the dial.

I had this model for years, and it still works like new. I bought mine from local dealer 2 and a half years ago. I would recomend it.

Great Deck

This deck is really good connects about 98% of the time. FYI there is no deck that connects 100% of the time. The sound quality is what I expected from a Sony product and it's lasting way past the factory warranty. Also all the features work good and the brightness of the display is great. Brightness is not so good on my newer double din Sony deck WX920BT.
