I recommend this unit if you are looking to upgrade your system without having to run a lot of wiring to an exterior Amplifier to produce power to mid range speakers. this is an awesome head unit. you will notice the power.blue tooth works great too! upgrade your door speakers with no amp

if you want a fast easy upgrade. I'd go this route. if you buy this radio will allow you to upgrade your factory door speakers. no need for a 4 channel amp this radio is the amp. if you have bass and a bass amp but need to upgrade door speakers to keep up with your sub. this is the radio you have been looking for. was very stuck between this and the pioneer 80prs. love both head units but I run just my tweeters off this radio and my door speakers run off a 4 channel amp and I have 2 skar evl 18s. so I'd say I've been around the block as far as car audio goes.

Highly recommend this receiver if you want some substantial sound out of your factory or upgraded aftermarket speakers.

This thing is the REAL DEAL. Got it Tuesday. Spent Wednesday night pre-wiring it to a PAC RadioPro RP4-VW11 and installed Thursday. It’s unbelievable! It actually lived up to the hype. I was surprised to see that it was the updated model. Previous models (XB100BT & older XB120BT’s) have a bulky fuse box with power/ground leads. The version I received has a conventional harness plug so, obviously,Sony re-thought the design and simplified the connection process. This unit is lovely and lively! The OEM unit in my VW sounded muddy. This BEAST showed its clarity right out the box with no adjustments!

I suggest investing in the RadioPro. It simplifies installation and you cut NO wires. I pulled out the old unit, disconnected the satellite radio, main harness, and AM/FM and made TWO connections (no SiriusXM now) and “Voila!”, crystal clear and powerful out the box.

Now, AFTER it and I got acquainted and I downloaded the Sony App...????!
This is arguably the best unit I heard next to my old XXV-05 and it’s $800 cheaper! This built amp saves money but will showoff majorly. Like that first review says, you’ll think twice about buying speakers. I’m even second guessing purchasing a mono block for my sub.
You need this!l It sounds so good it’ll make you wanna ‘cuss! LOL!

Ample power

Needed a new head with enough power to compensate for top-down driving. This unit is perfect and size is just right for Miata dash. Pretty simple install, bluetooth, front aux jack make it perfect for connecting to either my phone for streaming music, or connecting to a guest device without programming bluetooth.

Nice unit with many pre-programed sound profiles (jazz, rock, classical, etc.). I wish it also had manual adjustment to simply crank the bass, but figuring out best way to quickly make adjustments.

Love the power and versatility of the XB120. I don’t understand why more manufacturers will not offer this kind of power in a double din.

I was hoping to get the same one my husband has, but I had to go with this one because the one he has is no longer made. Now we have a 3rd vehicle and can't get another one of this one because you no longer stock it either and it's only been almost 3 months since I bought this.

This Sony has raised the bar on clean power from a head unit!
If you have fairly efficient speakers and don’t want the hassle of running an amp this head unit does a nice job.
