It my second one.

When I lost my first one, I ordered an other one right away. I love my portable AM/FM walkman radio..For it`s size the sound of it is so clear,
I am addicted to it, I listen to it many hours a day.

Workplace Essential

I purchased this radio mainly to listen to while at work. It is very small and compact, making it perfect for private listening without being a distraction. The megabass sound is great!

Walkman is sleek and compact. Great sound and functionality. Would not hesitate to recommend! I bought a new one to replace the one I lost and have had for years.

Good Unit

Selectivity on both bands, excellent. Power on both bands, very even and quite good. The only change I would have made is to have the earphone jack on the top instead of the side.

The Best

Great sound and rugged. Have dropped it on the pavement a couple of times with no consequence.
Ear buds a bit too large for my small ears.

Superb piece of equipment

I bought an SRF-S54 (not 84) some fifteen years ago. It was FM only (in any case, AM hardly exists today) . At that time, John of I've-forgotten-which Creek, the jack plug did indeed go into the top of the radio, a much better design feature. My SRF-S54 still works superbly except that the tuning indicator bar no longer works, so I took it out. The radio is still superb, the Mega Bass feature still excellent. Battery life is brilliant. The only problem is to find foam covers for the earphones. The SRF-S84 is just as good.
