Not too great
I spent a little more to get the Sony name and the bluetooth for my phone, but the interface is a bit slow and my buttons have become misaligned. This prevents me from changing my volume without the remote.

Superb
I've had this stereo for the past one month and I must say it packs a solid punch with excellent sound, and very deep bass. The set up was quite easy on my 2004 Subaru Legacy [once I got the double din fittings from the UK]. The bluetooth integration with my N97mini is awesome and is very clear during calls. The responsive time for bluetooth interaction is a bit slow. IPod connectivity is also very good and responsive.
All in all it is a very good system and I'm very happy with the package.

Sony XAV-70BT is adequate
The system is adequate for what it is. If you want to utilize all the features of this system it really falls behind the curve of the Pioneer or Kenwood models with similar features and price range.
Cons:
-The touch screen interface lags a lot and could become quite a nuisance when changing radio stations and switching to other functions.
-There is no video bluetooth option.
-The access time of the ipod controls are slow, but once connected it works fine.
-the bluetooth mic is weak
Pros:
-the Bluetooth audio is great.
-lots of options to control the sound levels and positioning.
-the DVD quality is great.
Overall the system is just ok, for the money I would have gotten something else.

Great Head Unit
This unit does everything as advertised and does it well ! Picture quality is one of the best on the market , touch controls are not to sensistive and respond quickly. Bluetooth intergration was seamless and is very simple. Most importantly sound quality is outstanding. Sony specifies Bit rates of play back at 192 but I've had no issues at 320 or 256 w/ MP3 or WMA. I have always been a Kenwood and Alpine fan but for $400 bucks Sony did a great job of matching up with the higher end guys for much less !!!!!

Don't buy.
The goods:
-screen looks nice
-sits nice and flush
-fast bluetooth connection
The bads:
-touch screen randomly works so changing radio stations, initial setup, skipping songs, ect. is next to impossible. If it wasn't for this it would be a perfect unit. It is annoying and is a hardware problem that cannot be fixed.

Good deal but a little slow
The TV works great as advertised. Has a fantastic picture as well as sound. The unit is slow during the transition to other screens but I do have to understand that it's not a super computer. But still.
All in all a good buy.

Getting returned...
Pros: Great sound, decent video, and price (about half that of C**********).
Cons: From a speed standpoint, it's like trying to run Windows 7 Ultimate 64 on a netbook with 128mb of memory. From a graphical perspective, it looks like a Commodore 64, or Atari. Yes, the screen is crisp can clear, but it has no pizzazz.
When attempting to play video files (properly formatted for the unit) either from disc or USB will take between 60 seconds and 3 minutes. All the while the unit displays an unresponsive black screen. I am embarrassed to demo this unit to friends.
When accessing any function via the touch screen, the slow, jerky animations must complete (taking up to 5 seconds) before the screen will accept any new input commands. Even then, it sometimes take two or three attempts before the command is recognized and executed. This is particularly frustrating, dangerous and distracting while driving.
Sonic has been great to work with and offered a full credit. I'm just researching alternatives now. But, for those considering this unit, be warned - it is SLOW and LAGGY.

Great factory install look!
I installed the Sony XAV-70BT into my 2008 Chrysler 300C SRT Design and it looks very clean and much better than the My-Gig unit that can come with the 300C's. There are literally no bulky externat buttons on the Sony XAV-70BT and it's bluetooth works very well as well as iPod interface. The unit itself has slow response to selected menu options, but I knew this prior to purchase. It compliments the 300C very nicely. Overall, I would recommend this unit to anyone NOT requiring navigation.

great value
The product is pretty awesome. There is a 3 sec delay when turning pages when you hook up a iPod but besides that it a good stereo. The Sensme addition is pretty nice also but something going on with Apple and Sony won't allow you to use this with an iPod

everything is great except for the ipod setup
I really like this unit. it has a great screen on it and does all i expected except for the ipod setup. The ipod setup is really really slow and the menu for it sucks. You always have to start over makes me almost not want to use my iPod. If iPod is your number 1 source for music in the car i would not buy this but if not everything else on it works great.

Overall Good
The stereo has good features and excellent sound and video qualities. The user interface is quite slow and takes a few seconds to respond to commands. I have thia in my 2008 SRT Design 300C.

50/50
I didn't like the unit from the start, the touch screen is super slow takes awhile to load. Sound quality wasnt the best. The BT on it work great, the mic is a big +, So is the remote!

It's ok
For how big the stereo is and the price, it's just ok. The screen art and graphics are really plain.

Luv it
This is a great product for the price. While the interface may be a bit slow it's nothing that hampers the performance and versatility of this unit. This unit has every feature I wanted and then some. I luv it.

Fantastic!
This unit is awesome. Great sound. Great video. The phantom center channel it creates while watching movies is incredible. True surround sound out of factory locations and an add on sub. Better than in a theatre. Highly recommended!

Very Slow interface. Otherwise I love it.

Look for something else
The sound is great but the software is jumpy. The iPod controls are painfully slow. Doing the most simple tasks takes forever.

ok at best
CD and iPod sound great with much power, but my satelite radio and regular radio pretty low. Responds very slow. Searching for a song takes forever. If you hit the wrong button you have to go back to the main screen.

Solid
Well I just finished installing my Sony 70bt, and have to say the video is outstanding. However, the user interface is alittle troubling. I'm going to have to read the manual I suppose, but overall this unit is great I would suggest this unit to anyone that wants solid video, bluetooth, and audio quality.

Menus could be more streamlined and intuitive.
Pros: Sony quality. Cons: Searching for songs can be cumbersome as you have to go through multiple menu levels to search for specific songs by any artist.

Nice unit
I like this unit alot with the exception of the Ipod controls very slow and some times will freeze up. That's the only downside to this unit everything else works flawlessly good picture and you don't have to bypass the parking brake.

Extremely Nice
I got this around Christmas, 2010, Installed it myself in about 15 minutes. It is awesome. Sounds great, touch screen is excellent. Very responsive. Most CD's have album art with names of songs on the screen. The bluetooth is the best. Downloaded all my contacts from my Droid X in about 1 minute. The only feature I haven't used is Sense Me. I couldn't figure out how to use it, but I'm sure I could if I tried. Unfortunately, I don't have this any more, my Tahoe was recently broken into and the radio was stolen. Better get a good alarm system. I just got a Viper. I only gave 4 stars on look/design because the plain radio text is basically black and white and you can only change from day to night. All other colors, backgrounds are very nice, but there are only 3 to choose from. I really like the graphics that show and move to the beat of the music. I wish the faceplate was detachable.

Very unsatisfying
So i have owned this deck for four months today and its just progressively getting slower and slower. From the start i wasn't too happy with the deck but I gave it its chance and Im even more disappointed with this deck. From the start the RCAs are crappy, the plug to hook them up is very weak and the wires at the connector dont have any insulation around the wires, the sub output for the amp is only a single channel and not dual like all other decks out there so wiring it up to an amp is more complicationed due to a lack of a channel and if split it lowers the output of them so a line driver of some form is neccessary if hooking up a sub amp to the deck, the deck itself sticks out about an inch from mounting location so making it compliment the interior of your vehicle is impossible, the look up menus are the worst part of the deck, there is no way to have lots of music and find a song remotely fast, with menu search has no back button that will take you back to where you last were it only starts your search over and if you have alot of music its time consuming especially if youre driving and while searching the deck freezes up often, the remote for the deck is mostly for just watching a DVD anytime besides that its useless other than volume control. Like I said this deck is slow and theres no task you can do on it that doesnt lag.
If youre considering buying a cheap DVD deck dont bother with this one, this deck has few pros and many cons. Overall i give it one star as best. In comparison to other decks ive bought, this deck is the most expesive and the worse deck out of them all. It gets one star for looks and design because the single sub output is a terrible design and it brought my score of a three for looks down just because of how inconvenient it is and overall stupid. Durability is a one because its getting slower and slower the longer i am having the deck. Features i generously gave a two, 4V preamp outputs, 7 band equalizer, 120db SNR, low THD, and screen tilt are nice but still not enough to impress me compared to what all features ive played with on other decks.
Ease of use should get no stars but i gave it a one. Its slow and that makes it dangerous to use while driving. Reading discs has an average loading time of about 30 seconds (CD about 20 and DVD around 40 to a minute), loading a USB takes about 40 seconds (1gb took about 20, a 4gb took 20, an 8gb took 50 seconds, and a 320gb with 40gbs on it took 12 minutes), the menus have anywhere from a 4 second lag up to a 20 second lag depending on what menu your in and when there is music playing that lag increases.

Great features, poor interface
I bought the Sony XAV-70BT because of the Bluetooth and customization features. But had I known that the GUI touchscreen interface was as basic and "dumb" as it is, I might have held off on purchasing this product. The touchscreen, despite an optimization feature fails to respond to touch about 30% of the time.

amazing
I bought this radio after much research and was very impressed with the videos and specs of the radio. After installing this radio I swear I feel so presidential. I did a custom install in my 96 Mustang GT and It's so unique and the highest quality image I have ever seen on an in-dash radio.
