Hits like a champ

I own the older model of these, the red 12" 1200watts and I have a 1100 watt class D mono block hooked to 2 of these and they pound and they haven't blown or sound crappy. They have very clean and clear bass. This subs shake my car and I can be heard down the street.

Loud and Proud

I normaly dont show my system but i used to run two kicker 10s and they cannot compare to this 12. It may not hit like i want but it is deep witch is exactly what i want.

Wow.

I was blown away by these. They shake my car to bits. If you want an extremely hard sitting sub for a low price...buy these.

Good subs

These are good subs for people who want to add bass but not as much as a Fosgate sub would add and great if u are on a budget these subs can beat pretty hard for what they are I would recommend these if on a tight budget

Great sub for the money

works well with songs that are not too bass heavy. Excessive amounts of low notes will get this sub burning quickly. I have had one installed for just over a year and have not burned it up yet but its performance has degraded.

great sub!

I only have 1 of these as I built a system for sound quality not SPL's. In the past all I would use were Rockford subs due to their build quality & sound. It's in a sealed box and it kicks as good as all the Rockford subs I've used. Perfect for tight punchy rock music. Not sure why Sony has lost followers. I also use an Xplod component set & they're just as clean sounding as this sub. 100% recommend it for that tight sealed box punch!

SHOCKED!!!!!!!

I just put two of these in my 08 Honda Accord. Man! I didnt think it would come close to the level these things hit at! I replaced two JL W6 12" with these beast cause they were cheap. I knew they werent going to come close to my JL's because of the price and cause they are Sonys!!!! No one i ever knew of messed around with anything that had xplode anywhere on or near it! But yeah i got them on an old school punch 500a2 (bridged). THEY ARE BEAST MODE!!!!! I CAN'T EVEN USE THE REAR VIEW MIRROR! Yeah first time the bass hits thar mirror is looking up at the roof of the car dont bother repositioning it back! Just goes right back up ha! But anyway get down to brass tacks. Dont be afraid, those out there that was like me and dont want nothing to do with xplode crap, these are nice! Throw them in a sealed box with the right amp and your done! Now just sit back and let it vibrate your back and rearrange all your mirrors and plastics for you inside your car! Ha!

good sub for the price

I have a Sony XS-GTX120L hooked to a Pioneer GM4500 in my 94 explorer and it hits so hard that it has since knocked my rear view mirror off and shakes the hell out of my roof and windows.

I had in total 3 Pioneer TS-W303R in the past 6 months and there good subs but they suck when it comes to putting power to it this Sony is holding up good the the nearly 600 watts I am pushing it with and it impreses people to think i have so much deep bass and only a single 12

Great tight boom

I bought this sub to replace a cheaper brand that had blown on me. I sounded great. Not as loud as some cheaper brands I have tried, but it's definitely more durable. My dog rides with me a lot and has even stood on the speaker, scratched it up, but its still going. Haven't had any problems with it and it definitely stands up to abuse. Totally worth it.

Not bad for what they are

My buddy has 2 in a ported box with only a Alpine MRP-M650 and its louder than it should be. It's gota be a freak set up, but I was impressed for xplodes. I have blown one up in a ported box that was the wrong cubic ai space. So make sure you go by the requirements.

sealed box

I had 2 of these subs in a sealed enclosure with a 760 watt amp (also an xplod) and it sounded sweet. It was clear and crisp and hit surprisingly low for a sealed box. Definitely worth the money.

Shocking

I got two of these in a sealed up box, bought them off a friend like 2 years ago. I CAN'T BLOW THEM! I've been trying to ruin them with out hurting my amp and they've been taking everything i give to them. I know there is way better out there but for the price you can't beat them
