A Shaking Success

The Sony Xplod delivers wonderful bass that can grab the attention of many people. Even though the range for this subwoofer is about low as 20Hz, many young adults can hear about 10Hz when this sub is played somewhere below its 300 rms value. (maybe around 250rms) I have had this subwoofer for about half a year and it has not blown yet. Tough and going strong, The Sony Xplod has about at max around 2.2 inches of excursion with a very tough dust cap. You will not be disappointed for getting this subwoofer. I would highly recommend this subwoofer for topping important aspects from other subwoofers. Note that when playing this subwoofer loud, the excursion can injure your hand if you try to touch the moving woofer. Last but not least, The Xplod looks cool whether you get the white, red, or black woofer cone.

Excellence

These are the hardest hitting subs that you will get for this money! I am 16 years old and i put these in my first car. They shake the seats mirrors and and everything else you want them to shake! Worth every penny of the 42.99 price for each one. I have heard a lot of subs and these ones kick a** for a first set or for people who are looking for some extra bass. I would recommend these to anyone. I have mine running off a Sony Xplod 600 watt 4 channel. So they are under powered.... they crush like they're over powered! Being 1100 watts each. Way to go sony!!! They even look freekin sick!

Best in Price Range

Theres not another 10" sub on the market that can touch the xplods within their price range. I had the svc Pioneers that are in the same price range as these. The Pioneers sounded good, but distorted very easily. I have two of these sonys hooked up to a 1800 watt kenwood monoblock that runs 900rms@2ohms, giving 450 rms per sub wired parallel. These subs are rated at 300rms and 1100max each. Yes, I am overpowering the hell out of these subs and they're loving every minute of it. This is the BEST budget 10"sub on the market. They just take a beating and keep on going.

Impressive

These are probably some of the loudest 10" subs I've ever heard. I have heard Fosgate T2 10's and these are just as loud on the lows and even louder on the highs. Good job Sony!

Just Right

Built custom subwoofer box for my 2008 Frontier crew cab and this speaker was a perfect fit for size and amount of bass I wanted to add to my system. Using the Pioneer GM-5400T, recommended by sonic, to power it and it’s a perfect match. Great improvement at a very reasonable price.
