this is my second one of this subwoofer... it hits hard but don't make the same mistake as me and let your friends control your stereo! but the only problem is its ability to hit lows. since it is a shallow mount low bass is hard to pound, but i would recommend this for raggae, jazz, blues, raggaeton, and coutry listeners. rap music has to many drum patterns and eachsong you might have to adjust to sound nice.

Good sub for minimal space

This went into a std cab Nissan pickup. I'm driving it with a Kenwood KAC-8103D amp also purchased here. Updated Sony data sheet was revised to 0.57 sealed, 0.43 cuft ported, Fs of 50Hz.

Sub took a few days to break in. It is very tight and controlled, but is also very weak in the low bass (characteristic of most shallow subs, I understand). The sub is packaged with screws, cutout pattern, and foam tape for sealing. It looks and feels to be of very good quality. I'm relatively happy with the sub, but I just don't have the space in the truck for anything that plays to a lower frequency.

great truck subs

Running 2 ot these off a KAC-7202 = amps turned down below half and these sony 10s are amazing fits in a crew cab with seats all the way back! Best lil box subs available - won't break windows but for 75 bucks no better deal

GOOD SHALLOW SUBS

I got 2 10" subs in a 99 ford f150 which are amazing subs they have good bass. I will recommend getting these subs if you want some bass in your truck being limited with space but if you want big bass these subs don't hit that hard. You may as well go with something better. These subs have an rms of 330 which is good but not your best overall there great subs cheap price but if you got the money to spend go for a better shallow sub.

Good speakers

The sony shallow mount 10" sub woofers have a good clear sound and they dont distort. In a sealed tight box they sound great they are worth the price.

sounds great, looks even better

This subwoofer is the most durable subwoofer I've ever seen. It has great sound quality and hits fairly hard for the size. This is a good subwoofer to put in a truck or under the seat in a car.

Its alright for a slim

If your tight on cash or space then this is a sub for you but if you over power it it will blow the voice coil. My s*** hit hard and for 3 months and then the voice coil went out. do not go by the 330rms rating. My voice coil blew on a 90x2 amp. So if you need something to fit your truck or something and you have the cash, buy a pioneer or a kicker shallow, but if you dont this will work as long as you dont over work the sub.

Sony xs-l10s

Hits good for its size and great for small areas. If you don't have the space then this is the sub for you.

HEART POUNDING BASS!!!!!!

I have 2 of these in a Ford Ranger standard cab, one behind each seat. Each sub in a .43 cu. ft. ported box tuned @ 40hz. They are being pushed with a Sony XM-1S @ 2 ohms. Man these subs POUND!!! Superb bass for the money. If your tight on space and you want excellant BASS. Buy these!!!
