awesome sub

I have 2 of these subs in my car in a ported bandpass box with a 1000 watt Sony Xplod amp. THEY POUND! I've tried other subs and they're just not as good.

good

i am 16 and had just bought 2 of these subs. i put them in my car and yeah they are good for the money but not even a month later i got bored of the little bass haha. so they are good for beginners or if you want a good amount of bass.

straight and to the point

i bought one of these and was impressed!!! even though the box was larger than needed(for my truck) and i lost leg room. the speaker on the other hand performed better than i imagined. i had it hooked to a 620 power acoustik amp, and it held up. especially in the lows!!! it would thump!!! i was impressed, even though i have had few subs in my life. but it and planet audio have won me over. definitely gonna run 2 this time and enjoy the power

Best Bang for your Buck!!

Have one of these running in a ported box tuned to just below 40Hz powered by a Rockford Fosgate Punch 301m at 4Ohms. Bottom line, this sub has amazing sound quality and the right amount of punch. I prefer this over my RF,audiobahn, kicker, and even sundown subwoofers. My amp is feeding 200-250 watts max and its moving my mirror and shaking my interior plastic components. Today you can find these for $20-$30, with that said you could have an entire system for $200.00 that out shines a $1000 system. These are also super light weight , only drawback is the appearance . Just because it has a poor look doesn't mean it has a bad design.

Most underrated speaker

I love my 2 12 Sony’s they are hitting harder than most and rattle my car like no other my cousin has spent thousands of dollars trying to get the sound I get out mine and I’m blowing his away

mehh..

i have had one of these in a custom made ported box, and if you have a car with good air space it sounds better than a stock system. if your looking to get noticed at a stop light though, go with like alpine type r's, or rockford fosgate. i had this 12 running off of a 350W rms 750W peek, pioneer. a good beginers system. now im running two type R's on 1000W rms...incredibly loud, and in a 1997 Camaro.
