Nice Subs From Sony

Good subs, they get loud. Just be sure to use a sony amp. For some reason they seem to do better when matched up with their own equipment. Not bad subs, sound good and clear!

better than i thought

My buddy just got these for his bronk and they kick some serious ass. They hit hard push some serious air and good for the money. I was previously debating between these and kickers L5s but i recently changed my mind to these good bang for your buck alot of bass.

just dont do it

i had one of these hooked up to a kenwood amp about ten different times the thing hit but wouldnt get really loud before blowing by that i mean it would pound but you couldnt really HEAR the music and didnt create a real good sound quality if you just want a pouder go for it if you want music clarity or music volume keep looking

WOW for sony

theres 2 opinions about these. if u have 2 of these it will out do a w6 with the right amp. but wow are these a piece of s***. if you always have them up loud you will blow them in a month. Done it twice. get a warranty and make sure u have reciepts because ull need it to return them and get more.

Great Job by sony

I have heard this speaker in shops and in my friends car. I was shocked by its performance. I have never known Sony to make really high end stuff but this sub is great. It can hit those low bass notes and also hit very hard. Although it is not as loud, It was keeping right up with my 12" L5.

begginner subs

i was tryin out this sub at C***** C*** and compared to kicker it looked rele fragile and the rubber isnt thick, but it had good bass, it pushed pretty good. I only played with them a little but i wouldnt run more than 200watt rms per sub.

not recomened but ok subs

Ok i do rate kinda hard but i would only recamend these subs to beginers in car audio cuz they don't hit nearly hard enough for me but are ok if you just want a little thump to you factory system but for the price i would get the volfenhag subs 10 or 12 would be alot better. and the watt rating is way over rated if you put 1300 true watts in those things just for a sec they would blow even 1000 watt i'd bet their still blow but if you match the amp right these would be ok just to a thump to your factory system

kicking butt w/ these subs!

If you want a good value get 4 of these subwoofers!! i've got 600 watts a piece to them and to caps. i have gone to competitions and kicked every bodies butt. every competition i've been to i've beat Rockford fosgate. In my opinion they are not the best buy! i hit the 150+ DB range and if you are familiar w/ DBs that is LOUD!!! a get airplane is 120db. I have always qualified at the Comps but not always gotten first but Hey i payed under 300 for all 4 while the next guy payed just under that for 1 sub. Its all about tuning your box and getting good efficient subs. and these are Efficient!! Mark my word.

Just Got Em

I was looking for a couple of new speakers to hook up in my truck and i seen some new sony xplod turbo subs. I had them out the store within 20 minutes of seeing then. I had already own the older model 1200W (350)RMS sub and i was very satisfied with it.I hooked the new ones up, cranked it up, and was blown out of my seat. They are awsome speakers. They sound real good and look awsome with the swirls. Im very happy with them. Sony xplods offers alot of sound for very litle money. I have a feeling i will not be needing new subs for a long time. If you want alot of sound, cool looks, and great performance at a great value. These are your subs.

pretty good

This sub is pretty good for how much it is. Im more for kicker stuff. But i gave my sub to a friend that has a 900 watt amp hooked to it, he has it cranked up all the time and he has yet to blow it up. I had the sub for 6 months, i ran about 800 to it cranked, never blew. My buddy has had it for 6 months to. The sub has yet to blow up but after a while the sub will smell if u have it cranked for a lil to long. But good sub for the money

Huge Suprise

I helped my friend install these in his car and hooked them up to a kenwood 800 watt amp and i was so suprised how hard they hit. I never knew Sony subs could be this loud and nobody else did neither but now he has a lot of people mad and jealous that his system is louder and he only paid half the price of others. I am actually looking at buying a pair for my girlfriend. Great Subs!

not bad

i bought one of these when i first got into system building and it wasnt bad at all i just wanted a sub to add bass to my setup and i was impressed with how much bass i got for my buck. be careful thought, i sent this sub a little over what it is rated at and i ended up blowing it

nice

my friend got 3 of these in his 1997 mustang gt and they sound good. the only thing bad is the trunk rattles to much from the vibration because he had 1 w7 and it never rattled it.

these things kick

I have two of these subs hooked up to a two channel amp running 300wrms to each sub. They are also in a bandpass box and let me tell you they hit very hard for what I paid. Well worth the money, sound quality is great. They are 12s so they are better for rap/hip-hop, but still hit when you turn the bass down for rock/metal. Well worth it!!!

Good Speaker

This Sony Xplod is top quality I own one now but had three. I recomend this speaker for people that want to have some thump and inexpensive speaker. (For people just starting to get into systems)

Great Sound and looks cool too

I own 2 of these babies. Although there not mind-blowing expensive like some other brands, they will still make your ears bleed and your wallet sigh with relief. These subs look awesome, they can handle around 4-500 watts continuously with lots of deep bass. They have more surface area than standard round subs the poly cones are quite rigid. They sound best in sealed boxes even if your less than 1.0 cu ft. and with the voice coil venting, you know she will pound a long time with little or no heat. The magnet and basket don't look very pretty, so I wouldn't recommend mounting them inverted. All in all it's a great value! for more power and stiffer sound, go for the aluminium cones.
