Good. But could be better.
I used to have a pair of the 1st generation P5's (non-swirld cone) of these subs and it was my first setup. They pounded hard as hell until I heard a kicker L7 15" which cooked my system.
Overall, I would recommend these for and entry level sub only. It is a SONY sub, so what I am drawing at is don't expect much out of them.
